You might have cancelled it but it might still be active until a certain date. After that you should be able to do it (I was able in my case). Is like cancelling your Netflix subscription: while canceled, you can still use it until end of the month as you have been charged for one month.

Me too yeah Apple won’t let me download an app nor updating app unless I pay for a subscription for an app that I have already canceled and even then I still don’t know what app that is this is why we should all stick with Samsung and the other phones Apple is a tyrant

Update!! apparently I was owing apple money based on some subscriptions that was pending that’s why I couldn’t update or download any apps I can now update and download apps So if you think you have pending payment that’s maybe the issue, or if you’re in a family plan and they didn’t pay for something that is also one of the cases why you can’t update or download any apps And secondly you will need to update your card information, or change to a card that as sufficient funds in it Hope this helps
