thanks for the video is there another way to deal with the product id instead of adding x I was thinking about add the id biggest number from SQL to have an auto increment final output to the product id is that doable ?!
You can implement what ever method you want but it should not alter the data. In your case, let say that the biggest number is not static because whenever there is an update in SQL table the biggest number change and it affects the dimension table. Is it possible to have a detail explanation about your method to see it idea, please .?
@@savepointcommunity7681 thanks for your reply I'm still learning talent, but I was thinking about what you did in the coming videos with the surrogate key. but I think what you did is important to make valid relationships and differentiate between SQL and access data. is that the main reason?!
@@mhmod2244 Yes just whenever there is an update in the data source my data pipeline can know which source that get updated so updating the data warehouse will be easy.
