      @@Gizaudio Can I ask something?..
      I can't decide between the Thieaudio Elixir or the Moondrop Kato.. I heard a lot people return the 7hz timeless because the QC isn't that great and they break fast for long term usage.. I'm leaning towards the Thieaudio Elixir at the moment.. I'm new in this area.

      @@justaemptymall Have the original 7Hz Timeless, bought in Late Oct 2021 - solid build and even after some banging and pulling around everywhere especially during travels, its standing strong without any problems. Cable has gotten stiffer with time - if you ever buy I suggest replacing it. I listen to all possible types of musical genres and the Timeless is an ace in revealing what's in the track. Very versatile and adaptive - very very crucial to use the right tips otherwise it will sound as bad as a 20$ set (currently using Tanchjim T-APB). Given the genres you listen to, if you are interested in a Planar, I would recommend the Shuoer S12 because it probably compensates the only weakness I can hear of with the Timeless - a relative lack of mid-bass. For me the Timeless has been perfect expect that 1 attribute but no point for me trading it by paying any money. I find the treble on the Timeless heavenly, but your mileage especially with incorrect tips and fit will vary. All the Best.

    I always go back to the 7hz Zero in terms of comfort, and the price makes it a no-brainer as an EDC. They sound great, and come with a good selection of ear tips.
    The Truthear Zero on the other hand has some of the cleanest bass I've heard. I listen to and record a lot of concerts which tend to get overblown by the bass leading to me having to eq it down significantly. With the Truthear it's almost not an issue.

      @@f_society9151 The speed of launches in the under $100 price category is staggering. Today...Olina SE (per another comment) seems to be better than stock Olina. The KZ PR1 Pro is reviewed superior to the PR1 HiFi (which I like and bought for under $50...an excellent entry into planar-land). I do have the Truthear Hexa since the last couple of weeks...pretty damn awesome and a great deal at its price. Still prefer the Shuoer S12...but its another $60 more. For under $100, the Hexa is my overall favorite based purely on personal preference. Easy to drive with phone...well tuned hybrid...perfect for vocals...comfortable...really enjoying this one. Was about to buy the Blessing 2 Dusk...not anymore. Two minor points with the Hexa...I do not care for the case (it's OK... but not my cup to tea); no matter...I have other options on hand when it comes to alternative cases. Wish the recessed B-pin were a standard/flush B-pin...so that I could try other after-market cables.

    also what planar IEM do you think can beat the dioko sub 200? i am looking at the 7hz timeless or the s12, but i realy dont like high freq/almost piercing freq that the s12 notably has, and prefer a soft, warm, sub bassy with still enough sparkly int he high frequencies. if i were to reference, i have the sennehsier 58x, (similiar in tone to 6xx), and i love that tone. i do wish the bass was more full and louder, but the balance of the 58x is something i want, but with more sub bass. i listen to fast paced, electronic music, and alot of jazz that is fast (koan sound, jd beck domi) so i am mostly interested in planars because of the fast magnets being able to pull out more transient detail

    is dioko would be number 1 if it had that 8k region less in volume, how would u compare it with just eqing a notch at 8k ? how does that compare to the relationship with the frequencies? im not sure if ti messes it up but im also not sure why eq isn't mentioned as much in rating IEMs, because i believe for now that maybe you can get the extra clarity of a IEM comared to another one, but and EQ will fix all the problems for alot of people. i am not educated nor have researched about how EQ affects the IEM but i was just curious. i make and mix my own music, if that might change the answer to the question

    • @xxjojoxx-35
      @xxjojoxx-35 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thieaudio Elixir : if you want a tuning that is cleaner my room, more comfortable fit ( but im not saying that the Kato is uncomfortable though ) and a better cable, get it
      ( But it will make any kind of energetic music sound a bit lifeless though )
      Kato : a bit of a V-shaped tuning while still being relatively neutral, great bass, and if vocals are your thing, then this is for you
      but my god the isolation on these is garbage, the cable is awful and the IEMs are a fingerprint magnet, and like many people said, the Aria is basically 90% of the Kato's sound at worst ( which is a great thing fyi ), honestly, just get the Aria
      There are also many many other IEMs under 200$ worth considering, like the Zentian Wu, Stellaris ( but I don't recommend it due to it being extremely extremely bright ), Dunu Talos, Seeaudio Bravery etc.
      But the 2 that stands out the most to me in this price range is the Tanchjim Hana 2021 ( also called New Hana, the old version sucked ) and the Final Audio A4000
      Hana 2021 has really good tuning, sounds really natural, vocals are lively and it has the technical chops to compete in this price range, though unfortunately, it doesn't go as deep as I'd like it to go into my ear canals
      Meanwhile the A4000 is probably the most technical IEM in this price range, yes it's even better than the Timeless, the soundstaging is mind-blowing, and if you like metal and EDM, then this is for you ( but any other genres ? Forget about it ), it's also super comfortable, my only gripes with it is the damn cable, it feels rubbery and it's a proprietary connector, and at the moment, there is no aftermarket balanced cables for it, only 3.5mm ones ( but it's not that big of a deal really )
      The best DAC you can get for 200$ is the FiiO BTR5, just make sure to buy the 2021 version
      But if you want a desktop DAC, Schiit Modius-Magnus stack is the way to go

      Currently I am deciding between the Blessing 2 and ThieAudio Elixir.. I heard fit and comfort is a problem with the blessings 2 or earwax

    • @xxjojoxx-35
      @xxjojoxx-35 ปีที่แล้ว

      Time to make your life harder !
      If you want the best of both world's of the Elixir and the Blessing 2, then let me present to you the Shure Aonic 4
      The Elixir's smoothness combined with 85% the Blessing 2's technicalities ( which is a great thing ), with the best comfort out of any IEM I've ever stuck in my ears and sound isolation that beats the crap out of ANC headphones ( no seriously, Bose or Sony ain't got shit on these )
      It has a safe, clean tuning that works for basically any genres, and despite being 1DD and 1BA, it feels very smooth and very coherent
      They also respond surprisingly well to EQ
      My only gripe ? The cable isn't that great but who the hell cares, just get an aftermarket cable like the Hakugei Unicorn

    • @justaemptymall
      @justaemptymall ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xxjojoxx-35 I will probably just buy the ThieAudio Elixir.
      I probably won't find much difference anyway compared to the blessing 2 regarding sound quality or technical performance and it's less of a risky choice.
      Especially when I'm outside and walking around I can't tell a difference anyway in detail or soundstage and when I'm home I can just buy a overear anyway. Seem to be more convenient overall to get the ThieAudio Elixir.
