Hey everyone! Hope you're doing well!
Here we are with another single player Mario Party video! Once again for these types of videos, I have an editor working with me on these to help get it out quicker so I can upload somewhat more consistently on my channel. Like before, any sort of feedback is helpful for the both of us to see since these types of videos are gonna be a lot more common on my channel, so if you like or don't like something about these types of videos, let us know!
And for those wondering about Mario Party 3... well it's not out yet on NSO lol, but I WILL go nuts on that game, there's gonna be plenty of videos where I play with the gang as well as do the single player mode for that game, since MP3's single player mode is quite chaotic.

Heck, Single Player MP3 is the BEST Single Player in all of the Mario Parties: You doing that is a Godsend, especially with Luigi since he's canonically the HERO of that game.
I'll explain for those who know MP3 and who do not (SPOILERS):
Mario: Courage Star
Peach: Love Star
Yoshi: Kindness Star
Wario: Wit Star
DK: Strength Star
Daisy: Beauty Star (And yes I agree with Nick, Daisy is the best Princess and she's gorgeous as hell!)
Waluigi: Mischief Star
Here is the question: WHERE IS LUIGI?! Well, if you choose any of the above characters (Except Daisy and Waluigi since they're not playable in Story Mode), Luigi will replace whoever you chose for that Star. End conclusion, Luigi is the protagonist of Mario Party 3's Story Mode and it makes every kind of sense to play as HIM for that!
I think that you and the other 3 should try to play a Mario party clone of some kind

What I love about Brent’s commentary is that everytime someone says “Bad” or “Sh*t”, Color Splash shows up.
Meanwhile I’m in the minority that actually likes Color Splash and thinks Brent is too harsh on it.
I kinda want Brent to have other games in this editing category xD

Why is my sense of humor so broken that this is now my exact thoughts EVERY TIME I see a penguin?
I remember, and I'm serious, taking 3 years to beat minigame coaster on hard mode. I was stuck on shyguy marathon because I couldn't find the way to mash A+B at the same time.
I was eventually able to complete it and little me felt extremely happy and accomplished afterwards.
I remember back in the day I taped a penny to the buttons and mashed the penny. It actually worked lmao

You too can unlock casual mashing u just gotta keep a steady pace and have stamina, just do training by working ur hands out daily with tools and do finger exercises and stretches which besides being useful for video game will be helpful for later in life to “avoid”arthritis have rather dexterous hands especially if u do art hand exercises and stretches will save u alot of pain and money from surgery

I still have this game ever since back at the early 2000's and this is my first time learning about the adventure mode and that you could unlock battle minegames in free play mode! This is so cool to find out tbh.
Man Nintendo needs to hurry up and release MP3, unfortunate that that one doesn't have something like the minigame island/coaster but the single player story is good and would be nice seeing you play it (after bringing the apocalypse with the boys of course)
I can see them releasing it after stadium 2. All 3 had for single player other than story is game guys room

The way you talk about Mario Party Superstars got me thinking. If Mario Party Superstars itself is supposed to be the definitive version of all Mario Parties (1-10, DS, Island Tour, Star Rush, and the criminally JoyCon-breaking Super Mario Party), you'd think Nintendo would have enough intelligence to add in DLC for the game in order to give it the QoL treatment. (20 additional minigames free to all per DLC release, 1 board from the classic MP 1-3 per DLC, and hopefully 1 new character per DLC.)
I love watching people play the old Mario party games, they were the best. Love your content man!

The world with Mecha Marathon was where I used to be stuck on, then you have Hot Rope Jump and the one where you have to climb up the ship. I eventually surpassed the rest after getting better at mashing and reflexes, on Thanksgiving of all dates.
Brent is such a try hard in Mario Party I am convinced he unironically picks Luigi cause he has the skinniest hitbox.

Awesome job! As a kid, this mode was near-impossible and I never was able to beat it. There were just some mini-games I was awful at (like Mecha Marathon). I actually didn't even know there were secret mini-games once you complete this challenge!
I'm with Brent that Mario Party Superstars would benefit from more single player content. Well, more content in general would be amazing. I would love to see more boards and mini-games as DLC in Superstars.
I agree with that statement at the end, Brent. I love Superstars, but a little bummed there was no single player. That's one thing that was really nice for older Mario Party games.

Destruction Duet has always been one of my fav 2v2 games, you can cheese this faster; hop off your partners head to get on top of your statue and you can do like 3 ground pounds or so while your buddy kicks the statue till it breaks.

13:52 Funny moment I like to share with this minigame : when I was playing this on my own time years ago, I finished the minigame at the same frame the Chomp woke up. The victory animation was just DK Close up, did not break out of the barrel because the Chain Chomp went to grab DK and toss him into the pipe. It just showed the outside world with no character on it. So great.

This is my headcanon, and I'm sticking with it.
The hard thing about Shell Shocked with the Baby Bowser Bunch is that all three of them are gunning for the player like you have to keep an eye out and dodge them as best as you can and then fire at them.
I say this as I had died a lot on this mini-game until I eventually got it.
So glad to see that the other Party Crashers have traumatized you so much even in a solo run they get consistently brought up XD

Yeah, once you roll into world seven that’s when the game stops being nice. I had been stuck at world seven for so long it was a miracle that I managed to conquer it at all.
The difficulty of "CPU" players in Mario Party should have been
1. Easy
2. Normal
3. Hard
4. Master

I think there was less locked behind the minigame gauntlet in PAL, I seem to remember having access to all the minigames at the island except for Rainbow Run. Dungeon Dash was also in the random selection for the boards, it wasn't a secret at all.

With save scumming you can max your coin rewards, 10k hard , almost 6k normal and 1.2k for easy. Spamming minigame stadium is perfect for maxing your coinbox

Fun fact: In this version of Shy Guy says, if he raisies one flag then both and the other flag, it's always be the other one. For example if he raisies the White flag always is gonna be the red flag if this happens. (But idk if this is true, i say this from what I played)

I was stuck on hot rope jump because I would start mashing jump in the last 10 jumps. it hurt because my brother and I wanted to play Day at the Races for fun, as well as Face Lift, but we couldn't do it. it wasn't until many years later that I finally beat the coster on Wii emulation... but by then my brother had long moved out and I didn't have anyone to play with.
