I dont ship it either (i ship jily) but i do completely understand and respect those who do because, lets be honest, its a great ship but i just dont think it would ever happen for a number of reasons, the main one being regulus and his family. If regulus is gay, i dont think he would ever truly accept that fact because of his upbringing, i think that he would supress those feelings by dating girls or just not dating anyone. I also think that because of his parents and family, he would have a lot of internalised homophobia and if he ever did acknowledge that he is gay, he would never, ever come out, to anyone. Especially after seeing how his parents reacted to sirius and him only ever wanting to make them proud. So, yeah, i dont ship jegulus but i do still love watching jegulus edits and stuff because you dont have to agree with a ship to enjoy content surrounding that ship and its important to remember that people have different opinions and to acknowledge and appreciate everyone for their differences so pls dont come for me Ps: sorry for the long comment

I always imagined Regulus to be totally uncomfortable with the thought of being in a relationship with ANYONE because he hasn’t had any good role models to show what a healthy, loving relationship should be like. I understand the concept of jegulus but James was so in love with Lily that everyone else was just invisible to him in a romantic light.
@@Ka1tl1n i never thought about the not wanting to be in a relationship part but now that u mention it, it makes complete sense. I also think that, not only did james never consider being in a relationship with anyone else, especially his best friends little brother, but james would also probably be the last person regulus would ever have romantic feelings for because of all the propaganda and anti-blood traitor stuff his parents fed to him from a young age. and, james and regulus would have next to no chances for interaction since they had no classes together, were in different houses and would probably only ever see eachother from across the great hall, in the hallways and across the quidditch pitch so... not much opportunity for romance to blossom yk?
