You can hate Felicity, but the fact still remains that she's a Team Arrow OG, just as James and Winn are the OG Superfriends.

I have been wracking my brain with that and I think I caught on. John hoped the new DEO would be a beacon, but the "son" is actually a "Sun". So he spoiled that it wasn't a beacon, it was enormously larger than that.
This was so cute the dancing scene and cool the three original friends taking about the early years.
First Oliver had John and Felicity, Barry had Cisco and Caitlin, and Kara had James and Winn the O.G's
