    Very technical, specialized content that appeals to a select audience. Fortunately, I am part of that audience. Thank you, as always.

    Great video - never boring.
    The tech section showing how to tell what valves are leaking was nice. Not many people have shown this technique.
    It was good to show the titanium tube going in. I was curious as to how the filter cover gap was sealed and now I know.

    Nice little Easter egg. @ 14:10 I have heard this grinding from my AP1 starter as well. Oddly enough it stopped happening when I started using a battery tender. But if I forget to connect the battery tender it will grind. It only does it once and I can't replicate it until days have gone by without driving it.

    Even w/I customer purchasing the trio, I like the idea of just doing the VTEC solenoid, I think it's a great personal touch, sort of like when you spend money on performance parts they give you a lisense plate frame or something.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A License plate frame costs us .75c. The solenoid costs us almost $18 based on 100. If you’ve been following for a while you’ll notice I try to give things away for customers coming out of town. If I give you one will you stop asking this question on every thread ? 🤷‍♂️

    16:40 Probably got enough heat into the starter to stop it from happening again. That's always been a cold behavior of the starter for me (doesn't do it on my current, but did on previous ones).

    You guys do awesome work....cant't get enough of the channel! When you crank the motor without the head, and the timing chain is still installed, do you have to do anything to make sure it lines up properly when putting everything back together? I currently have the head off my motor and wanted to check all the cylinder walls, but was unsure if would throw the chain out of alignment. Thanks in advance

      Jerdy It’s pretty straight forward. Disconnect the battery, remove the power wire to the back of the starter ( 12mm) remove them starter signal ( pulls off) then remove the 2 14mm bolts. It’s not hard, just tricky.

    So when u flushed it with water you used regular water? Does it matter if you use distilled water instead of regular water?

    • @Ph0enix80
      @Ph0enix80 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if you leave it in the car. Once you drain the water all out and add coolant, it doesn’t matter. If you are using water for coolant (track car for example), you would want distilled water to keep your system corrosion-free.

    Unfortunately, metal intake tubes become heat soaked and don't help. Plastic performs better.
    Your titanium still looks good.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don Riedel Actually, the volume of air that passed through the short length tube doesn’t show heat increase. While idling, the IATs start to climb, less than one minute they go back. We’ve data tested this.

    why does my s2 have a burning smell at the top of the engaine after a valve adjustment

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s a small amount of oil leaked out and has run down the head. We usually clean off the old oil before starting the engine. It will burn off.
