Thanks a lot for this video! I remember myself back in 1974, sitting in front of the TV and watching the GDR programme with Heinz-Florian Oertel, the reporter. Wonderful memory which I never had dreamt of being able to watch again! Thank you so much again and again. You made my day! 😍
What a wonderful skater! Loved how she finished her jumps. Also, so sweet, wiping the flower petals off the ice for the safety the next competitor. Terrific marks.
Interesting choice of music, more typically chosen for men, but she did a great job. Amazing save on her 3Toe, you need great knees to pull up and out of a low landing like that. Beautiful ice coverage and height in her 2Axels. I especially appreciate that she held her jump landings before skating off into the next element. Very good choreography, very strong technical skate and nice artistry. She must have been thrilled with her marks, super performance.
Was the Man of La Mancha soundtrack really popular among elite skaters in the early to mid-1970s? I recall a video of Trixie Schuba using this music a couple of years prior.
@@piramis7615 you did not understand. I mentioned 3S of Lynn to confirm that she jumped that 3S during those years. For example, at the 1974 Worlds. Probably she really did it before, as commentators sayd.

Thank you very much for this video of lovely Christine! She was really brilliant in her skating and so emotional!
She is amazing. Athletic and graceful.
Absolutely love her lovely, strong skating and the ideal music. Thank you.

So powerful. Such a wonderful skater.
Wunderbar. Ihre Trainerin war Inge Wischnevsky.

An diese hervorragende Kür kann ich mich noch sehr gut erinnern! Und noch heute frage ich mich, warum keiner der Preisrichter eine 6,0 gab.
she was the best 1974, here on the European and at the Worlds in Munich!
What a brilliant skate! She skates with great speed; jump positions are textbook. The deep knee bend on jump landings is a delight to see.

Yes,it was The Man of La Mancha!
The deep knee bend save on the triple toe and the commentator's reaction are priceless. Who is the coach? Not Mueller for a change.
Inge Wischnievsky
Commentators sayd about 3S by Lynn Nightingale, yes she was the only woman to land a clean triple (3S) at Worlds 1974 (Christine fall on 3T).
europeans comes before worlds, in this row!
