I’ve been looking at that sander and the Milwaukee sander and I haven’t decided on what to get yet, it may make a whole lotta sense to get the Milwaukee since I have numerous M18 batteries, but I’m liking the Dewalt specs and I’d have to get more Dewalt batteries.

@@wmcaldera It all depends on what speed and amp hour battery you are using. I've run it on 2AH and 5AH batteries and was surprised at how long you can go. Plenty of time to get what you want to be done. It's a gamechanger for sure.

Hi Vince, mine just arrived I was reading everything in the box and something called my attention, at the upper side of the box where the features are described says: "1. Corded power" and in Spanish the same: "1. Alimentación por cable"... in the case you have the box, yours same?
Vince I have the ryobi cordless sheet sander and orbital sander and cat sander that ryobi makes and love them but I keep my corded Bosch orbital sander and ryobi corded cat sander and the dewalt corded sheet sander that I have now around when I am sanding all day
Jacob Pulliam it was. They can’t keep them in stock at Cheapo. They were included as one of the 12 free tools choices when you bought the 887/996 combo. Or you can buy individually. Deal is still in effect till 1/31/19. I had to get it online. Stores didn’t know when they were getting more in.
I use a ROS every day. The dewalt sucks. It doesn't hold a disk well. The vaccuum shroud pulls sawdust behind the sanding disk and caused the disk to fail. My woodshop bought about 6 and we're junking them.
Vcg does not do tool W**s he keeps a nice clean tool testing called tool test Raw or TTR very good comparison and testing between two different power tools we don't use the W word in these tests and comparisons remember it's called tool test Raw

i think the 3 amp hour slim battery would be best for this sander...i bought them for the dewalt inflator and the oscillating tool..perfect size

How long does the battery last you when sanding tho, quick touch ups are ok, but how about a project ? Thats what kept me corded on that.

Is this a true random orbital? I was looking through reviews on Amazon and some people were claiming that it was not.

I really wish that the battery was vertical in the back so it feels more balanced and the dust port isn’t as far off to the side

With the right paper yes, but you might be better off with a right angle drill and polisher attachment
