The hmong community have been hosting bass tournaments there on the criox from still water to Prescott on july 4th weekend for many years, we'll switch from there or tonka every year lots of 20+lbs bags 50-70 boats, always a great time. Great videos guys n great fishing
I have always loved the croix, one of my favorite fisheries for pretty much any fish that exists, it may not look great because the structure but it holds many 3 - 4.5 lb smallies, if you ask me it is the best smallmouth fishery close to the cities hands down
now pro bass fishermen will understand what it feels like to fish in minnesota and wisconsin border style the struggle of trying to catch a big smallmouth bass on the st croix they're very picky eaters even tho they're small they fight like they're 5 pound bass
Wow where's all the pleasure boaters in their yachts cruising up and down the river? Everytime I used to go down there in the summer there was a perpetual wake coming in popping my boat around like a cork.
ahhh yes, da lower croix. probably the most hardest stretch of body of water to catch a good 5 fish on this side of town. also the most annoying hooligans as well, just go to the boat ramps on a saturday; either go early or dont even bother after 9am. the upper croix though (up by hwy 70), smallies are amazing and willing to bite; muskies too.
Can u imagine being a great tournament fisherman and have the ability to figure out the fish without electronics.... and all of a sudden your a nobody because of live imaging... must be rough
I think if you fished with FFS you’d change your opinion pretty quickly. It doesn’t make fish jump in the boat. It does teach you a lot about where you’re casting and what the bass and bait are doing. It’s a tool just like side scan or mapping is. I’m in pressured wisconsin area and even after getting good with live my best days are still power fishing in the shallow weeds or around cover. Certain times of years and lakes it shines
My buddys fish that fishery mostly every day! The smallies will crush top water! And when you do find a mega school of giant smallies and lmb hitting on top water! They are giants!!! Best best baits are dogwalkers poppers and swim baits! Swimbait and hit rock pound the rocks you you are always golden with a Bite! Double rig is fire there to.
awesome to see the St. Croix being stream big. great job host!
Bro said to send them back to Lumbridge. I felt that haha
