As a metallurgical technician, I did plating in the past and im pretty sure your final solution is used up. You should try to buy fresh and fully charged zinc ions solution and retry your experimentation. These tend to degrade with time.
Why did i stop watching ur vids idk, but i have so much to catch up. Great job on ur cars Devin, always restoring and improving cars leaving them on mint condition.
Just did the rear diff bushings on my wagon. You will definitely have to press them in. Super tight they took a paper thin bit of edge steel from the bushing off when pressed in. No more clunk. YAY!
You gotta get the control arms much hotter To get those bushings to drop in. Usually u use a torch to get it nice and hot. But since u have them looking so nice u prob are just guna have to press them in so u dont mess up the coating with the heat.
The eye's of Devin makes me sad... Because we all know how frustrated is He. Dang this kind of situation makes us cry and just give up. But im hoping Devin is tough than the situation... Keep it up man
maybe if you adjusted how much current is going to it and it's still not working maybe try using a thinner line gauge wire and that should help giving it less current just a thought keep up the awesome content and work definitely have learned some stuff be safe out there
😃why would you have blueberries in a freezer when bushes look better This is what makes Devins channel the best 😁 I could watch you zinc plate all day every day keep going
try cleaning the copper pipe the wires rap around 2 make better contact pipe should b shinny and maybe use clamp 2 attach wire 2 pipe also check voltage from pipe 2 16ga wire
Great Video Man... I hope you don't tear those Poly bushings freezing them then hammering them.. (not sure but in theory I'm assuming they may become brittle)
I expect your rinsing water and zinc solution are contaminated. Needs to be super clean. Thats why the more you are doing the worse its getting. Oh and use distilled/de-ionised water for the rinse. Damn your car looks pretty underneath 🙂
There needs to be a Nissan skyline on the channel or super car I’ve watched your videos for a long time now from the uk and would be nice to see more then evos and Subaru
going ahead without proper research is such a common issue for you D That and not writing down a list of necessary parts required for up coming projects then having to scramble to find or order while doing the job. kick arse white board and write shit down parts and necessary support stuff.then keep common things in stock particularly EVO stuff. this is called project management with deadlines for necessary steps factored in particularly with shipping and supply times lengthened in the situation. This and your preparation and will to get stuff done will increase your effectiveness. oh and get a bigger oven lol
Sorry Devin but zinc plating bolts, nuts, washers etc, and then pressing in bushings is a total YAWN 🥱 fest. Hopefully this is the only video doing this. Lol……….🤔
Bobbi's dinner tonight is heated control arms with some bushings and a side of bolts from the crock pot :)
and the grease instead of mayo
🤣🤣🤣
Underrated comment 💀
Don't forget the blueberries (also in the freezer)

This is a proper restoration! Well done Devin!

Yeah needs to be hot hot, probably discolour the cerekote at best.
Finally back with another awesome video 🇺🇸 was waiting patiently for this day
Can’t wait to see the evo all done! That undercoating looks amazing! 👍🏻

Keep it up man
“ I don’t like giving up” transitions to “ I’m giving up” 😂🤣

Love all your cars but still think Bobbi has the best. Lol. Nice restoration on the Evo 8. She gonna look as good as she rips.

When you don’t have time you can get a quick freeze using a co2 fire extinguisher to make dry ice.
I'm completely transfixed to your channel!! Love the content. Having a evo myself. Makes me want to do the same.. Great job 👍
After coming home from a hard day of work your videos are all I need 🙏🏽💯 love your videos
Hands down the best and most informative youtuber 🙏🔥
Evo gonna be the best 👌
Good to be back man!i have been waiting for the notifications
Definitely would say get all new fluids and a new plate ur gonna use to zinc them with should be fine after
no acd to relocate on this car?
Harbor freight has kits for bushings awesome vids 👍😎
Impact sockets handle stress better... i got away from the chrome after i broke a few.. just my opinionn
The bushings need to be damn near frozen for the method to work then wait a couple hours for it to expand before torquing or tightening them down
I think u gotta change the fluids out Devin?
underglow on the blue 8?
Great Video Man... I hope you don't tear those Poly bushings freezing them then hammering them.. (not sure but in theory I'm assuming they may become brittle)
Check that P.O. Box my guy
А что это у нас на 13:41 минуте?
THE BOI IS BACK !
I will join u when the bolts episodes are done
You should be at 20M subscribers!
I think the copper wire may be enamel which current can’t pass through
Go with an FX300 or 400 for that BRZ.. you wont regret it.. Unless u have big power goals for it.. Fx400 should hold 500whp no problem.
remove the cv joint and center bearings from the driveshaft and you can do what ever you need to do.
with all that labor im surprised u didnt oven the whole body
I wonder what that car's gonna be worth when your done.? Beautiful work

Best notification of the day
Devin Bro 🔥🔥🔥Another Banger
Bro surely you didnt leave the zip ties on the fuel lines..... Stainless option?
Can I give you my vw mk1 velociti n build it, bro you’re doing excellent job 🙏
There needs to be a Nissan skyline on the channel or super car I’ve watched your videos for a long time now from the uk and would be nice to see more then evos and Subaru
dude its gon be to nice to drive
🙏
I feel like putting the arm in the oven isn’t the way to go because then it just cancels out the bushing being frozen.
Oven not hot enough, use a blow torch
If the time comes to get rid of it do a raffle for it
❤️
🤙🏻🔰
🔥💯👌🏽
If ever decide to sell the car, you’re going to make a killer sale. Lol
when anything heats up it expands kids. FYI.

Love the build , but too much black .
Shit like this needs to get done professionally, too much time to waste for such little things
First.
