Acting is something I’ve always thought about but i would always push that thought away because I believed that going into the entertainment industry is something that was impossible for me to do. However recently I’ve been more and more interested in acting so we’re in this together
@@nadiatorres8314 I've always thought about acting, but I wasn't satisfied with myself. One time I was memorizing lines and I was thinking about how to say them instead of just memorizing. I didn't like myself for the ways I was speaking, so I called it a negative work. While still calling it a negative work and pushing the thought of acting away while still telling myself to become an actor, I felt the need to practice and practice. But that thought of it being as negative work pushed me away, but now I am breaking free. I have been avoiding practice when my mind is screaming at me. I have times where I want to present myself artistically. So, I will try my best and do what I can. I will even push myself, take risks.
I dont know if you have done this but can you go over a typical script given at auditions (like how long it is, how much time you have to memorize, stuff like that) thank you so much and these are very very helpful!!

This video is a while ago but it is still realy helping me. I always love acting and want to be a actor for a long time but for me its a little different because i live in the Netherlands and if you want to be in a Netflix film thats very hard. In the netherlands they have movies but i don't realy like them.
I myself have not tried acting profesdionally so don't take my word for it but I would guess if you do dome classes, audition for all of the nearby project you find reasonable and that have a role you fit you will fill up your resume and have more to show of yourself while also gathering experience thereby making you better at acting which in turn means you will get better jobs that will look even better and so on.

It’s where u record ur self doing the acting and doing the scene given to you by the director and then u send it to them , if they like u they will give u the opportunity to come to that country and film movie/series etc. but before that I highly suggest u too practice and learn everything about acting.

Hey, your comment has been up for 8 months, so I hope this is not too late. But you build your resume: start off in small things like theatre, adverts, or even school plays, then as your resume grows, your experience will grow, and you can get booked for bigger projects. Hope this helped!
Thanos In pretty sure (Not 100% tho) that you can just send in a video, but if they like your audition tape, they’ll call you in in person so that they’ll see how you act in front of the cameras and see if you’ll connect well with your potential co-stars. I’m pretty sure casting directors test actors chemistry together a lot before actually casting the actor.
Vera und so You can try Backstage, Project Casting and Actors Access. While there are loads of roles added here you have to make sure that you’re being cautious.

What’s your advice for having a demo reel? Many of these projects also ask for you to have a demo reel in addition to a headshot. It’s one thing to get headshots when you’re starting, but it’s another thing to get a demo reel together, especially if you’re brand new

not necessarily. it seems like it would be easier for someone who has the preferred hair color, etc. but if they really like you, then they can still cast you and have you dye your hair

Greetings there fellow budding performer, I personally would say that those two skills would be really useful, especially if you are auditioning for a musical. When it comes to parents, well I can't really help you with that. Because I do most of my acting on stage with the school theater and my parents are totally okay with it. Hope this helps

I am 38 almos 39 and I wonder if I can still become a movie actor. I went to stage acting classes centuries ago when I was 16 for about 2 years then I came to US to pursuit that dream but was impossible because the school cost a lot. I am know in the Navy reserves and I am a full time police officer but I know that these career is not for me I don't feel it. I still want to become a movie actor, like I said I have no experience.
PA DI Remember, it’s never too late to become an actor no matter how old you feel. It’s just a matter of determination and your personal conviction to become an actor. You can do it.
You have to work with the hand you are dealt. So for example, if this is your only way to submit yourself for projects, you can’t get an agent or their isn’t local projects happening around you, then only submitting online would be your best option. We have to work with the hands we are dealt.
I’m thinking about being a background character by watching these videos i can start out and show the director that I am capable of being more than a background character and hopefully the director can choose me or keep an eye on me for movies/ shows. Can that work too? And if yes how to I become a background character?
Getting noticed by a director by being a background actor is very very hard. 99.99% of background actors will not get noticed by a director. Directors pay attention to characters who move the story forward or characters who have speaking parts; background actors don’t catch anyone’s attention on screen (as they shouldn’t). If you’re wanting to get noticed by a director, I wouldn’t suggest doing it by becoming a background actor.

Kotori Bear there are plenty of shows for your age. tons of shows need younger people, just like older people. i can’t tell you anything specific, but there always will be things for younger people like you :)
At the time Backstage wasn’t as user friendly in my opinion, but they’ve made some new upgrades to their site that it’s become much easier for the actor to use/user friendly. You can check out my recent vids on it :)
How can younger people get auditions? I am only 13 and have recently developed a love for acting. Obviously, younger people are and can be actors as well as adults. I was wondering how somebody like me could get an audition for a movie or series. I do not have a resume or anybody to help me with taking head shots. I almost feel like I shouldn't try so hard to get an audition because the chances of me pursuing a path in my future which involves acting are very slim. Kotori Bear there are plenty of shows for your age. tons of shows need younger people, just like older people. i can’t tell you anything specific, but there always will be things for younger people like you :)

At the time Backstage wasn’t as user friendly in my opinion, but they’ve made some new upgrades to their site that it’s become much easier for the actor to use/user friendly. You can check out my recent vids on it :)

How can younger people get auditions? I am only 13 and have recently developed a love for acting. Obviously, younger people are and can be actors as well as adults. I was wondering how somebody like me could get an audition for a movie or series. I do not have a resume or anybody to help me with taking head shots. I almost feel like I shouldn't try so hard to get an audition because the chances of me pursuing a path in my future which involves acting are very slim. I have realized that I probably wont be able to make a living off of my acting abilities. Although, I would still like to try and find an audition. Getting to the point, how would I find an audition at my age? How would I be able to become a big actor?

My mom doesn't know any of this, but.. I want to apply to an acting thing, I did research, but covid is kinda holding me back. I know what to do, but I need some help in support and I need to confront my parents about things.. How should I do it? I know I have a 95% chance of being rejected, but I want to try anyway. Please help me, I have always LOVED musimusic c, art and everything like that. I really just want to get into acting, and stuff.. but not to take over my life. ... All that.. Doesn't exactly relate to what my problem is, but my question is how can I manage my time, and how can I get my parents agreement? Please help.. That is a good place to start. Being younger or looking younger gives you more places to start.
