Hard to say. I’m a persona fan and It was fun for me but it is short and repetitive is some parts.
It story is pretty good though it has some flaws and some plot holes that aren’t too noticeable at first. That’s kinda typical for any game though.
The voice acting is pretty good but voice Audio is kinda weird.
It has some BANGERS! “Good music”.
And ryuji says the f word; The actual cuss word. So that makes the game like 20$ more worth.
I say give it a try. But be forewarned. There isn’t too much replay value. There is definitely some replay value, like in NG+ you can do merciless. And tons of other perks too.
you’ll more than likely feel pretty good about buying it and playing it. Even if u only do one playthrough. Persona fan or not, I think it’ll be pretty fun for them.

I agree a lot with the reply to this comment, I personally am not a huge fan of the real time combat, but for me the music and being able to see an extension of p5's story made it worth it.

Gameplay was fun, excluding some of the optional requests, like minibosses with way too much health (ailments and technicals help, but that costs multiple bars of SP if you're unlucky). Halfway through the game, you get the ability to exchange currency for Persona stat points, which can be carried over and snowballed through fusion, letting you hit 99 in every stat if you know how to cheese it. Character switching mid-battle feels really good, and the final boss requires you to make use of it in a really cool way.
Arsene gets a bunch of new learnable skills, making you think it's worth pumping levels into him and carrying him the entire game, but I tried it and I wouldn't recommend it. His skills are strung out too far, his natural stat gains are absurdly low, and his exp requirements for each level increases exponentially.
The story was kinda weird in that it mirrors P5 beat-for-beat, but with a much more lighthearted tone. The Phantom Theives' change of hearts this time are more aimed at redeeming victims turned villains and getting them to turn over a new leaf, instead of just sending unforgivable villains to prison. The two new Phantom Theives are cool, but ultimately superfluous. In fact, they come across as expies of certain existing Persona characters, right down to one of them having the same tragic backstory.
Overall the plot is a bit more of a spinoff than a full-on continuation, imo. The Phantom Thieves have their Summer fun, but since all their character development already panned out in the previous game, they're mostly just along for the ride while the new characters get their character arcs and promptly peace out in the end.
TLDR: It's worth it, but don't expect the writing to top P5, aside from Ryuji getting his F-word pass.
