I work for a guy who knows one of the assistant coaches.
Playing devils advocate I’ve heard multiple nba players talk about how they’ve freezed out teammates during games. It’s a bad look but if that was happening to him I can see why he would be mad especially since they are up 50 and he’s a freshman so this is probably his first real playing time this season because I doubt they’ve played more than 5 games yet
Yeah of course, but I think the important thing here is they were still scoring. If you freeze out a teammate to do bad shots or stuff that leads to turnovers. Yeah you can be mad and to your point I think Charles Barkley said something if he asks for the ball and you don’t give it him when he’s in the paint he would deliberately commit fouls. To me tho the context of it being a blow out and the shots working and you look sulky when 3 points drop is just a terrible look. One day it might be you on a heater and how you going to feel when a team mate is sulking
I think folks in the comments are missing something. There's only 13 guys on an NCAA basketball roster. Plus coaches, they're only getting like 20 seats max. Its not like basketball teams have a ton of equipment either, so all their stuff is just in the luggage compartment, unlike the NFL or NHL (sports with a lot more equipment). Schools have a deal with an airline or the NCAA does, for cheaper flights, but they're in economy with the rest of the normal folks... and starting fights. Some mom and her kid could be in the aisle behind and these guys are beefing. When that happens, its usually airline rules to go back to point of origin and drop rowdy passengers off.

They pull directly up to the tarmac usually. No security. No stops. That plane is just for them. Even for a smaller school like Appalachian state uni that's how it's done. Can you imagine the amount of shenanigans fans would try to pull if athletes were on public flights. People trying to get autographs, trying to bribe coach for a bet or get they kid into a program. Someone talking smack cuz they're for the other team. Opposition trying to get notes or steal info. Etc etc.
