I once read on a German forum that the first batch of DW715's had a full length rifled barrel and it was only on later batches that it was shortened, presumably for cost reasons. You're right about the Schofield though; that is pretty good for a smoothbore.
I enjoy your reviews. Thanks for this comparison video. I own all the same guns, except for the Webley, which I have in 2/12" & 4" versions. Even the minute 2 1/2" Webley outperforms the 6" pellet 715 everytime. The 6" Siver/Grey DW is a real looker however...lol.
I've got all the same guns plus my DW715s have all got FULL length inner rifled barrels and without a doubt the DW715 is the best shooter out of all of them, the Schofield is a very close second, the Webley mkVI is just beneath it at third and the Colt SAA is coming in at fourth place. Interestingly enough the more accurate SAAs are the smoothbore BB versions when used with pellets. Something I should point out is that although the Webley, Schofield & Colts are happy with a 4.52mm pellet the DW715s are much more accurate with a 4.49mm/4.50mm pellet, you shpould try some RWS meisterkugeln pellets in 4.49mm in your DW715 (or just get a 4.50mm pellet sizer).
The best pellets ive used are platinum, l thought the talk l heard was just propaganda, but they were fantastic, my groupings became bullseyes with every shot thru the same hole, l couldnt reccomend them enough, expensive yes very but the satisfaction content waves away the cost
Thanks for showing us this one,, I really like the look of the Schofield, and now I see it's pretty accurate too,,

You needed a less windy day. Low powered pellets are notorious for drifting in those conditions. I own a Schofield and love it.
