Awesome video. I pretty much did the same thing, but I had to use the nest fronts cause my birds haven't got use to my new loft I just built. It takes time and patience. Best of luck!
Thanx brother. It was very easy to do but I do enjoy picking my breeding pairs. Especially in the off season when there isn’t much to do with the birds. It’s nice to start dreaming of next years pairs 😂

Red grizzle cock. Figured the name would be fitting 😂. He’s bred me multiple winners and even his grandchildren are winning. He’s also won me my first race when I started in 2017, a combine 300 winning $600.
@@GuardianAngel.. he would be the last bird to leave my loft if I ever got out of the sport. He’s not so much a super bird, just one that means a lot to me. We’ll see how he does mated to The Polish Hen.
@@AdrianP_loft Yeah I can relate I too have a Bird that means a lot to Me not because it accomplished anything You see it’s My First Racing Pigeon and I Won it from a competition that Mr. McLaughlin held on his Channel recently that means even if he doesn’t turn out to be a Good Racer he will always have a place in My Loft.

So, what it all comes down to is, you won't really know who the sires are when the youngsters start arriving, since they are all having a feathered orgy in the breeding section.. 🤔
@@AdrianP_loft .. I'm gonna have to disagree with you my friend, because I can.. It's a known fact that cocks will run around and ride the back of any hen that will let him, and at anytime.. And 'that' isn't a sure way of really knowing who the sire of those eggs is gonna be. The dirty deed only takes about 3 seconds to complete, you know that. I wonder if Hans and Jan Evert Eijerkamp or Gerard Koopman just throw their cocks and hens together to let them choose their mates the lazy way?.. A man in a hurry takes short cuts and the breeding loft is not the place to short cut the work.. JMHO

I used to think the same but it’s been proven that the eggs only get fertilized on days 4-5-6. By then most will be secure with their mates.
