VALENTINE IS A FANTASTIC SLASHER But seriously, a great list and Scream Factory definitely needs to dip more into 2000s horror: Vacancy, Hostel, Gothika, The Reaping, Dreamcatcher, The Mist, The Descent, Teeth, Orphan, The Midnight Meat Train, and so many more. I'd rather be getting these than all the 4K rereleases we've been getting, like COME ON!
Really love The Editor, I recommend their earlier film Fathers Day. Its very over the top and not politically correct, which is quite refreshing. Both that and The Editor leave me in tears, but I think my favourite part is watching the making of's, because they really do it for nothing and pull it all together - and they're all just super funny.
This is an area that I wish Shout Factory would focus on The Descent is probably my all time favorite that came out in this decade but I would also want Cabin Fever and the Hostile movies I have some of the ones you profiled but not all of them I remember seeing Ghost Ship in the movie theater and your right the opening is really awesome but there's not much good after that

I like Drag Me To Hell too. Wish I had gotten the Jeepers Creepers 2 blu ray. Hoping both of those come to 4k soon. I'm a fan of those 2 films especially the 1st. Silent Hill is one of my favorites. Need that 4k sooner than the rest. Hoping they go all the way out with that release. I love The Strangers as well.
Yeah, Green Inferno really serves to illustrate how those devoid of normative, masculine human nature, when they gather into a group on the basis of some shared interest, can wind up bringing about horrendous things in their lack of regard for what is actually right and just, judging all things according to those interests they share, as if it were a valid and justifiable thing that such interests and the "rules" and "standards" contrived around them could justify the subversion of what people actually justly and rightfully deserve, including treating people in a manner which they do not rightfully deserve, good or bad.
Ghost ship. Great awesome opening. Along with the ending, but everything in between is just mundane, bland. Drag me to hell is just terrible. House of Wax is really good. Valentine is really good. Thirteenth ghost is really good and as you said - Matthew Lillard. I've only watched Bubba Ho-tep once, it was okay. No big deal. Trick R treat is great. I watched Slither as part of my 2020 covid "end of the world" deadly virus pandemic movie marathon. It was actually pretty good. I liked it. Over all, I don't like 2000's horror or the decade...although I am slightly coming around. Mainly due to nostalgia and it definitely had a look...as opposed to 2010 and 2020....I mean seriously...did the 2010's and our current decade the 2020's have an actual style and look? If it does, I can't tell the f**king difference. Plus I kind of forgot how many awesome albums came out that year; Infest, Vapor Transmission, The Marshall Mathers LP, The chronic 2001, Freek show, The green book, Clear hearts grey flowers, and Holy wood for instance. Then bands like The birthday massacre, one of my all time favorite bands Acid witch came out in the 2000's. Electric Wizard, I prefer their 2000's stuff. I don't like their 90's stuff to be honest. Gorerotted. Hollywood undead. Bands that I like a few songs of Murderdolls, My chemical romance, Cradle of filth, Linkin Park, Slipknot, hell I like a couple of those Avril Lavigne songs. Sum 41, Green day, etc. I don't want to be that typical "old man" "get off my lawn. All modern music sucks - different generation" stereotype...but it's like ya....who do I like in 2020? Or 2010? Other then Katy Perry and Taylor Swift...I can't think of any band or musician. Billie Eilish, terrible. Cardi B - even f**king worse. So ya, not a fan of 2000's horror or the 2000's in general...but it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Other 2000's horror movies - May. Love that movie. Ginger snaps and Ginger snaps 2. Didn't like Ginger snaps 2, but after 3 viewings of it it grew on me.
