Me and my sister sang this song to our mother as she transitioned to life after life. This song has carried me thru some trying times, and our mother loved it. So much potency and power in these magnificent lyrics and in the presentation by Rev Leon and Ricki, truly anointed beings. So grateful ❤
I’m so grateful! I got to meet Rev. Leon last weekend at Agape and shared the impact this performance has had on me. Holding for a Rev. Leon and Rickie remake of this song ❤
Powerful . I must take in this song 3 to 4 times a day, it just lifts me up and I rejoice at the majesty of God. I love Agape Choir and Rickie BB, so much talent and testimony. We are all blessed by this song and the wisdom.
The lyrics touch my spirit deeply. City of God *I’ve been concerned too long with what was going wrong *What would not move. What would not turn *There is a way for sure than what i have endured *I am now prepared to let go and go to the City...the City *Mysterious City of God receive me *I was standing before a wall that had shut out the light, *but your love oh God it restored my sight *Hallelujah for heaven and hand I can believe in myself again Hallelujah...in the City ....Remains at hand when Gods the only plan No greater joy have I I was standing before a wall that wasn’t there at all I am now prepared to fly And fly to the city...the City *Mysterious City of God receive me *I was standing before a wall that had shut out the light, *but your love oh God it restored my sight *Hallelujah for heaven at hand I can believe in myself again Hallelujah...in the City I just wanna say that God just opened up my heart one day to the City here in me I had to let go of the way i thought of the way that i used to be And so I prayed to love and I prayed to see the City shining everywhere I let God lift me up far beyond the .... God is my present help even in my time of need Gods hand is there for you even in when you don’t believe Right now open up...open up your eyes Right now open up...i know you can realize Right now open up... And come to the City...the City * mysterious City of God receive me *I was standing before a wall that had shut out the light, *but your love oh God it restored my sight *Hallelujah for heaven at hand I can believe in myself again Hallelujah...Hallelujah Hallelujah...Hallelujah Hallelujah...Hallelujah Hallelujah...Hallelujah
"Music minister our souls"/ Iyanla Vanzant. Hallelujah bc we are alive. Hallelujah bv we have a NEW DAY Full of possibilities. Hallelujah bc we can give the best of ourselves to our world. Thank you for posting this song. Let's open our hearts 💯.
I love this song. I love what Agape is giving to my soul. Rev Beckwith's words truly resonate with me and lift me up. thank You! Thank you all so much! I so enjoyed yesterday's livestream and hearing Rickie, Leon and the choir sing this song again! Thank you, thank you, thank you. So much love! Hallelujah
Agape International Choir has the best music in Los Angeles as far as the spiritual scene goes. I'm not just saying that because I used to sing with them. It's true. Happy Holidays!!!!! God is good ALL the time. Amen.
@@marianm3218 I was privileged to sing with the Agape Choir from 1994 until I left L.A. in 2008. It is, indeed, like singing with the vibrations of the angels, and I miss it so much!
Love you Rev. Leon! This song moves me just as deeply today, as it did the first time I witnessed it at Agape nearly 20 years ago! Healing medicine for the soul 😂
I love Leon Campbell. I am honored to know him ~ to be his friend ~ and to have had him sing my music in the past ~ and more importantly: in the future!
What! Rev. Leon Campbell is such an amazing man - and now I find out he he's a great singer too. Thank you for this beautiful song and for all you do at Agape.
The land Agape was on in Culver City, they never owned?! Agape has millions funneling thru their ministry. They should’ve secured real estate. Most churches own their land. Dang. My stomach just sank. That’s disappointing. I’ve been following Agape since 2008, and I’ve even been to a service at Agape in 2009. Ive heard multiple stories of people being called to move to LA from around the country, just so they can serve at the Agape church in Culver. It looks like Agape got struck by unemployment. Do you know how awesome it was to watch those live services with thousands of people in attendance!! Beverly Hills is sad! But I still like Beckwith! I grew up in a Christian home and had to swim thru a lot of misinformation. I had to go to church twice a week. It gave me ptsd. Agape is the only place I’ll attend church. And I live 2,000 miles away.
Why did Agape move to Beverly Hills?? It looks like it went from a size of 8,000 to 400 people. What's the real back story? Why the downsize from a huge sanctuary to a theatre in Beverly? I still love the archived serves online though. Just curious.
Andrea Henderson ur kidding me? The land Agape was on in culver, they never owned?! Agape has millions funneling thru their ministry. They should’ve secured real estate. Most churches own their land. I so miss being able to go to Agape. It put a light in me that cannot be replaced. Ricki made a very speial choir
He is an amazing singer and person of spirit. I remember him rescuing/ mentoring some young men at Sprouts in Culver City. Bless this man always.

City of God
*I’ve been concerned too long with what was going wrong
*What would not move. What would not turn
*There is a way for sure than what i have endured
*I am now prepared to let go and go to the City...the City
*Mysterious City of God receive me

*Hallelujah for heaven and hand
I can believe in myself again
Hallelujah...in the City
....Remains at hand when Gods the only plan
No greater joy have I
I was standing before a wall that wasn’t there at all
I am now prepared to fly
And fly to the city...the City
*Mysterious City of God receive me
*I was standing before a wall that had shut out the light,
*but your love oh God it restored my sight
*Hallelujah for heaven at hand
I can believe in myself again
Hallelujah...in the City
I just wanna say that God just opened up my heart one day to the City here in me
I had to let go of the way i thought of the way that i used to be
And so I prayed to love and I prayed to see the City shining everywhere
I let God lift me up far beyond the ....
God is my present help even in my time of need

The owner of the Culver City property didn't want to renew the lease. The move to BH is "temporary" until a permanent church home is found.
