Ma'am you are amazing, I'm an engineering student with no connection to biology whatsoever but I'm working on diabetic retinopathy detection and this lecture has helped me a lot.
@@Mk-bk9jc As an Engineer(not all engineers) we have to make computer vision applications which can detect, given an retinal image, the level of DR. That was my final year project, on detection of DR level using Deep learning. Also there are biomedical engineers who have to learn a part of biology because without that knowledge they cannot make a machine to assist the doctors.
Before sometime I was scared from this topic...don't wanna even read it...but now U make it more interesting..so I don't have words to explain Ur best... whenever I get any problem in opthalmology topic I just search out Ur lecture Nd feel that now I know the topic 🙏👍
Dr. Niha, Thank you very much for such an informative lecture. You are a passionate teacher and having grip on your subject, that's great. I am also a teacher, leaned a lot from your lecture. I am a diabetic, and it was diagnosed in Sep 2020. But since Nov 2021 I learned that I am also suffering from Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Maculorpathy. Last week after FFA I learned that my both eyes are suffering from DM ischemia and edema. In both but more in left side. 2 days back I received anti VEGF injection in my Right eye.Y Opthalmologist is of the view that there is not treatment for DMI. Is it? That is very worrisome for me that there is no such treatment for DM Ischemia. Can you please explain DMI in detail, if already have done please send link for that. Or please explain. I need your favoure in this regard. Thanking in advance. Aftab Hashmi, Doha Qatar
