The point (which you have completely missed) is that Lena wanted what she perceived as a 'normal' life with a 'normal' man who wasn't in showbusiness. She didn't want a famous/talented husband. I think perceiving Lena as being 'on a different level' to the rest of us is what contributed to her problems. She never had normality - no childhood to speak of, no teenage years, no chance to be a normal girl. I hope she's finally found peace.
i was shocked & deeply saddened for the young woman & so much loneliness a child sebt away to strangers lena's agent & "everyone" saw & craved for a talented young child & the child was forgotten but only the talent was seen.
she grew up & lost her sense of who she was & the only thing she could control was what went into her body ... the thing she wanted was love & hugs & to be heard not just for her talents but what her insides needed to be heard! .... still in shock no one truly helped her ! it seems.
According to the documentary I just watched, Lena died from a chest infection 3 weeks prior to an operation. This is very sad - I thought she was very talented and imagine how wonderful she would be if she was still around.
Carla looks so beautiful as Lena's bridesmaid. I'm afraid I have no appreciation at all of her husband here. His body language and attitude elsewhere in the full length wedding video causes me to perceive him as unsuitable and immature. I also distrust his motivations in marrying her. Just my opinion, but not mine alone.
I'm not qualified to do anything. It's my opinion and I am entitled to it. The fact that she divorced him two years later and has been quoted as saying that she never really loved him tells me that it was a bad union. It's not "shallow" -- it's facts.
huh? i commend you for trying to 'read' my personality based on one youtube comment, but you missed the mark big time. listen, i have nothing against the guy and i don't know him. i imagine you don't know him either. i was merely saying that an accomplished, beautiful, talented woman like Lena could have partnered with a man that was more on her level, that is all. but that is MY opinion and please don't take it personally. ok?
on a documentary lena died 3 weeks later aftter a partial labotany. crazy to me that any parents didn't make the discisions when she was cleaerly ill & so thin that she looked like a living skeleton, & any surgeon taking a young woman for a labotany is insane & there is now an investigation regarding the concelling lena recieved which i think is a good thing but too late for lena.
Thanks for posting

I remember her primetime singing debut and although I never liked her, this video made me cry; too sad for any other words.

How could she die on the operating table when she died days after the surgery?
