Here it is May 7th & we still aren't in the field yet. I'm south of Fergus Falls MN & they are just a couple guys going on some sandy ground. It is still wet in the fields here with more rain coming in the next couple of days. One of our neighbors buried his tractor picking rocks. He had to get a backhoe out there to help dig it out. I don't know when we will get in the field here if we get a bunch of rain now. Good luck with spring field work & I hope the flooding didn't get to bad.

In my younger years, we had chickens one time on the farm in an old barn. It was my chore to feed them. My dad checked in to see how they were doing. First question was, where are all the chickens? I guess a critter had been sneaking in and getting a free meal. We then butchered them on the farm. That was a wild time. Whole new story.

pigeon problem? basketball hoop, or( build one) welded to a long light weight pole. secure a potatoe sack to it, @ night shine a light in their eyes, knock them into the potatoe sack with a stick, clean and cook, or add to freezer, pigeons on the far eat mostly bugs and grain, makes for an awsome meal.

Something I use to keep pigeons and other birds out the barn is fishline the birds can see the movement but not the actual line. Tie it to your rafters and let dangle a 2-4-foot piece this should drive the out of the building.

If someone can flush the pigeons out one at a time, a full 12 gauge can take care of your problem quick! If they roost in there at night, a few pumps on a BB gun should do the trick.
