For 2 years now the IRS been taking out 500 a month from me. Plus they took my tax return -3600 it was a wash and then had to pay 900 so for the past 2 years they got 20k out of me about . Will I be a target forever.

The irs levy my bank acc and this was from the tax year 2000 . Isn’t the statue of limitations pass . I called them and they wouldn’t do anything therefore they took my money in bank acc . What can I do to get it back . It release on April 26

This year I made payment to federal online and mistakenly I payed on 2018 instead of 2020 the full amount and I don’t owe anything on 2018 so technically the money is just sitting there. I called IRS to tell them they said to write them a letter about this and give them all the proves of bank account and anything that shows to paid and still I’m getting letters that I owe them if I don’t pay by September 9th they will put levy on my bank account. Can I personally go to IRS office near me .
