Prayers for those who were involved in the accident for a full and complete recovery. I noticed like others who had commented on how many others just drove by, many in their own world oblivious to the accident that they were passing by, some possibly seeing the wreckage, but unconcerned and continued to drive on. As a retired former volunteer advanced EMT I know that time is of the essence in a situation such as that. It appalls me to see how long it took before any help arrived, but thank God it did. 🙏
There was a black car that was in a lane when the car went off road. It is possible they called for help. Also there is a black car that stopped in the footage. Possible he came back!. I pray who ever was in the car made it.
I am under the same assumption as you.. if they wouldn't have seen them go off. The video quality is poor... But the person from the black car is who went down into the median. I had to put it on my big tv... I thought someone just miraculously appeared in the median.

The problem isn’t that they stopped in the passing lane. The problem is they stopped around a curb limiting their visibility. They should’ve continued around and came back, setting up before the curve so they could be seen. We position in the passing lane all the time for accidents. You have to make sure you’re visible if you do it, which the ambulance is not and should’ve looped around.

That curve is coming up at you faster than you think! Thirdly, NEVER EVER EVER stop in the LEFT LANE under ANY CIRUCMSTANCES! Fourthly, why did it take MORE THAN FIVE (5) TIME-LAPSED MINUTES for someone to STOP AND HELP?!?!?!?!
This is the saddest thing iv ever seen, laying in a wrecked vehicle for what seems like eternity! No one like pays attention anymore, i don't know about you but i know what's going on around me someone saw them fly off the road, then a traffic cam pays zero attention, so screwed up thinking someone's on the way 👎
How emergency vehicles were handled nearly lead to a much larger series of collisions. It appeared there was no awareness on the part of first responders to alert drivers coming around a blind curve that there were vehicles stopped in the driving lane.

That area is haunted. Just right of this crash we can see where another car or truck had been on fire, leaving large burned area. Some drivers can’t handle these slight curves in the road. Excessive speed generally the cause.
Obviously the cameras are not regularly monitored by conscious humans, where was this glorious AI when it is needed? Also noticed what appears to be the N/B lanes have guide/guard rails the entire length of the gradual curve. The S/B lanes appear to be open and unprotected on both sides. High-speed was obviously a factor contributing to the severity of the crash.
In this case, it's understandable. They drove down a goddamn mountain. If you didn't witness the crash, you'd never know there was a vehicle down there. Most people are focused on the road, not what's over a guardrail down a 100 foot deep embankment.

And since there was no safe place to stop, it's best that the other cars kept going so as not to cause an even bigger problem. The person who did stop was taking a huge risk with a lot of other peoples' lives. Plus, if you're neither experienced nor equipped to assist, what would you do to provide any help at all? Your best action is to call 9-1-1 and get help on the way, while keeping the roadway clear for the emergency vehicles.

i don't think the vehicle was visible to the cars. Might have been visible to a truck driver who sits up higher.
He ended up down an embankment. He was lower than the vehicles on the highway. They couldn't see anything
