I remember being obsessed with this when I was 12. Such a cute movie!

Lois Butler, "Mickey," enjoyed a very brief career and never caught on with audiences, partly because the era of the young female singing star a la Deanna Durbin had waned. But almost everyone else in the film had long careers - Irene Hervey, Rose Hobart (the subject of an experimental film by artist Joseph Cornell), Oscar winner Hattie McDaniel, Skip Homeier (who even appeared in two original STAR TREK episodes), and Leon Tyler, a popular tv character actor. The most tragic figure is Beverly Wills, the daughter of actress Joan Davis. She died at the age of 30 in a house fire which also took the lives of her two sons and grandmother.
She started the fire with her cigarettes.
There could have been a sequel without the singing. Her charactor could have carried the film without the singing.
Her voice was better than Jane Powell's. She like Linda Ware and Judy Clark and others who were in film, on TV, in opera like Susanne Foster, in plays, and on live radio. So, we can't hear or see all of their work today.
The Judy Garlands, Jane Fromans, and others went on and were very popular for many years in multiple entertainment areas.

First time watching! Very Cute-Sweet Movie! Reminds me of my Youth! I was just Like her in every way! Rarely got a Date!, I Excelled in every Sport, and had 2 older Rough & Tough Brothers that were very Protective of their lil sis, so No Wonder There! 😉, Couldn't understand at that time Period! 😂, Iv'e never grew out of it, just Independent, and Competitive! Playing Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, kept me busy throughout the years! 😁, enjoyed my Life! I did get married and have 3 Wonderful children and 3 very intelligent Grandchildren, (Computers)! I can't figure out most of my cell phone! 🤣, but I don't care, Really!! 😊 I Really like this movie for those reasons! Unfortunately, I'm very Ill now with my❤, & on my way out!-So I do appreciate this Movie! Thank You for Showing it! GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤😁👍🤗✝️
Sounds like you’ve had a full life! Like you I never grew out of my “rugged” stage but unlike you was never good at sports! Have you seen Pat & Mike? Reading your bio there reminds me of Kathryn Hepburn’s character in that film!

The Emperor: For the space of three minutes, every molecule on this planet will be immobilized. But after the third minute, the green ray loses it's power. Time will flow once more and everything will explode.

Stella Star: What in the universe is that?
Elric: My lord!
Count Zarth Arn: What is it, Elric?
Elric: [incredulously] A floating spaceship is about to crash into us.
Count Zarth Arn: Sultaan! Destroy the floating spaceship approaching us.
Elle: It's so nice to be turned on again.
Stella Star: These are pre-programmed computers! They will run forever!
Thor: [to Count Zarth Arn] Soon I will join you as your prince of darkness.
Elle: Circuits don't fail me now!
Elle: [fighting a giant statue] Watch out, you big broad!
The Emperor: Our galaxy is split into two warring factions: our own and the one ruled by the evil Count Zarth Arn from the League of the Dark Worlds.
The Emperor: Well, it's done. It's happened. The stars are clear. The planets shine. We've won. Oh. Some dark force, no doubt, will show it's face once more. The wheel will always turn; but for now it's calm. And for a little time, at least, we can rest.

Elle: Now maybe is a good time to use your ancient system of prayer and hope it works for robots as well.
Stella Star: [to Akton] I don't understand, you never die.
Simon: Stella... Stella! And welcome home.
Thor: [to Stella Star] You can drop the rifle ray. Now turn around.
Akton: We just survived an attack of the most powerful weapon in the galaxy!
