Was the cooling fan a Dorman product?
I’m not sure, it came from 1 800 radiator. Super cheap Stuff, imo.

Why not just replace the connector?
It all depends on where the damage is. Usually if one side overheats and melts, both sides have damage. On rare occasions one or the other can be saved and reused.
