First Heavy Snow Fall - Rice Lake, WI - 10/14/2022

Residents of Barron County woke up to a snow covered ground with heavy snow still falling. The snow accumulated to an inch of the time of this video. The snow wasn't sticking to the roads or sidewalks.

We just had rain across parts of the state yesterday, between that and the ground still being a bit warm and the daytime temperature fluctuations, it won't stick too much at least for now, but I'm looking forward to more of this. Have a feeling we're going to get quite a bit this season, glorious.

4 years ago today we traveled with our boat and did the loop, we left St. Paul and got down to Lake Pepin Oct.14th and the snow was coming down heavy. This morning we left for Florida and followed the snow down.

It’s more common in midwestern states like Wisconsin to have snowy seasons from October to April. Same as Canada always. Pa rarely get snow in October months.
