    Nice job on that Darlin Cora tune. And great looking banjo. Do you grow your own gourds, or are you able to source them from somewhere?

      Thanks! I've grown one gourd before but now that I live in an apartment I source them all from Wellburn Gourd Farm in southern California. They have extremely thick shelled gourds which are preferred by most people for banjo making, but I was just talking to a guy who makes tawitóls, which are Aztec instruments, and he says the thin shelled gourds resonate much better, so I'm looking for a place to get thinner shelled gourds now to test that out

      yes but sometimes you have to just power through
