So when I was watching the video my mother said to me and she said”so today I was thinking of getting a horse and a Shetland pony for company for the others” I was so happy love you guys
This could be a sign of discomfort depending on his disposition while riding. If you use a metal bit, try warming it up before hand, by just holding it in your hand for a few minutes or using hand warmers wrapped in a thin towel. Sometimes it's uncomfortable when the bit is initially put in the mouth since metal is cold. Penny takes her bit just fine but nothing special. A lot of horses reach for it themselves if you just hold it in front of their mouth.
Oh my god. The bits are abuse people are everywhere now! People are allowed to use bits. If they use them let them be. If you don’t use bits, good for you but leave people alone if they do because what they use on their horse is their choice.

Any time I show my mom anything horse related she looks me dead in the eyes and goes "I'm not buying you a horse." Can I recommend that when you hose your horse start from the feet and move to the top. Its the same thing as going into the water for a swim, typically if the water is coldish you would put your feet in them get in gradually. Sometimes when my horse had water straight to the stomach or back and I didn't let her body adjust to the temperature she would get a cold. Just a thought!!
Wow! This is a great video for helping someone form good habits with their horses. I am a mom of two teens (who don't ride by the way), but I just stumbled across your video and decided to watch it. ( I had a horse for 20 years before she passed away. I showed her in Hunter like you girls do.) All your comments and video is absolutely spot on instruction! Funny, my horses name was also Zara. Anyway, very nice for any young person starting out with their horse.

I'm German and I find it very interesting and funny that apparently it's common practise in the US to wear your hair UNDER the Helmet? No one does this here 😂 we just wear a low pony tail or bun. Some Helmets (p.e. from Uvex) have a ajustable inlay which allow wearing a normal ponytail 😊
EquestrianPrep I always ride with my hair out of my helmet either down or up, but even at shows since I ride saddleseat, I have my bun that always sticks out of it anyway
The winter one was sooo tumblr-y it was one of my faves even though there was barely any music so I hope you do another one like that around Christmas-time!! P.s. Love ur guys vid!! 💗💗

I'm planning on getting a rescue horse for my first horse, and my reason is I want a bond more than ribbons. I just need some advice about getting a horse though, even though I'm not planning on getting a horse of my own till I get the hang of riding again

I'm 14 and have been riding for 12 years so pretty much all my life. My horse recently passed away and I've had a real struggle with trying to find another one. There's me and my best friend who have ridden together all our lives and want horses on the same yard so trying to find 2 suitable horses is really hard. When you were putting he saddle up on Zara she got nippy and stuff, my friend's horse does that and they took her to the vet to see if it was ulcers or pain but it turns out that she did it because she didn't want to work so she pretended to bite, it's important to stop those behaviors so I thought I'd let ya know:) btw I love your tack😍
My gelding Pocket won’t even let his head down so I can brush his mane 😂😂 and if I put it down myself (he can’t Be crosstied) he pulls back and he gets loose but he doesn’t go far he just kinda walks away 😂😂and I need a step stool to put on his saddle (he is the same breed as Zara)

It's becoming a lot more common to ride with your hair out of your helmet in the US, I only ride with my hair up at shows now!

a trick with the bot knife is that you put vaseline (petroleum jelly) on the bot eggs before you take them off as they get suffocated.🙃

If flies land on your horse mix tea tree oil and water and then spray or wet the mostly landed on parts the flies hate and won't land on them as much!

Jules 1611 it is riders choice to put their hair in the helmet or tie it back it differs for each rider
It's more common to use hairnets in the US. Slowly the European trend of ponytails is coming to the US!
