- Ayşenur Eygi, an American-Turkish peace activist in the occupied West Bank, was shot in the head and killed by Israeli forces earlier this month. Her name joins the list of American activists and journalists killed by Israeli forces over the past two decades. America is made up of all nationals from other countries, they still see Eysenck as being Turkish though all of them have different roots and different ethnicities! America has made up its mind about seeing her solely Turkish and therefore she did not matter. Regardless of her origins, the killing itself is unlawful and unprovoked. The fact she was a civilian who posed no threat to Israel and still eliminated should be treated with harsh consequences against Israel. Her killer must be brought to justice and should face a lifetime imprisonment or death as in the United States still have the capital punishment active in some states. Allowing Israel to keep killing without punishments is leading everyone to question justice and laws application in the US. We cannot include Israel as it is a lawless state!

It’s very sad that this young lady was in the region. I feel for the family but we must all remember that they can be their own activists against their own government and the Israel government. This is not our fight. It should be up to the people born in their country that need to take a stand. I would not endorse my children to be activists but I would expect them to fight for democracy in their own country. Stop going there unless you are accepting of giving your life for the cause. What a tragedy😢
