Dead by Daylight’s Chaos Shuffle Returns
From January 16th 11 AM EST to January 28th 11 AM EST, it’s time to tempt fate and enter The Fog without the safety nets you’ve grown so accustomed to. Trust us, there’s something liberating about letting chaos take the wheel, leaving a crucial part of the pre-Trial ritual entirely up to the stalwart hand of chance.
Remember, there’s an unspoken benefit - if you lose, you can always blame the Perks.
CHAOS, WE MISSED YOU
If you’re new to the Chaos Shuffle, allow us to catch you up to speed. Chaos Shuffle is a Modifier that assigns each player a loadout of 4 randomly selected Perks. It draws from each side’s entire Perk pool, opening the door for some truly unexpected combinations.
Some loadouts will have you feeling like you’re trying out for a competitive team. Some loadouts will have you scratching your head. Others will put your speed-reading ability to the test as you try to soak in as much information as you can mid-Trial. Remember, descriptions of your Perks will be accessible via the Match Details screen, in case you’d like to understand why everything is suddenly on cooldown...
To help clarify things, we’ve added a new animation that plays when you first load in. That way, you’ll have a better idea of what you’re getting into.
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, OH MY
There is one notable difference between this iteration of Chaos Shuffle and its predecessor: this one features several Dungeons & Dragons-themed unlockables.
We’ve got a player Badge, a Banner, and Charm, with each one showcasing a different side of the mighty mythological beast. They can be intimidating. They can be deadly. They can be adorable. See for yourself.
We’re thrilled to see this fan-favorite Modifier return, and we can’t wait to see some of the wild and wacky builds our players wind up receiving. Remember that Chaos Shuffle marks a deviation from the norms, removing a crucial part of the pre-game ritual: thinking. And sometimes, that’s exactly what The Doctor ordered.
