I think that exactly aligns with the cannon concepts, since Galaxy Quest (and the Protector) are supposed to parody the TOS Star Trek series, while the Orville show & ship spoof TNG-Plus.

First time seeing the Protector with that beam , didn't see in in the movie.. at 2:28 Could hear Guy screaming lol.. Love the battle Admiral, and these 2 ships, eeh poor Protector.. Now have to watch the movie..lol. and RIP Alan Rickman !😊🖖

I don't know if you can make this happen, but, I would love to see a multi-universe match up with Enterprise E, Space Battleship Yamato, and Battlestar Galactica (pre-museum) working together as allies against a Cylon Basestar, the Reman Scimitar, and a Medarusa Class Gatlantis Heavy Battleship. A 3 on 3 matchup. Additionally, it would be cool to see each ship, Enterprise, Yamato, and Galactica, take on the enemy ships of the other universes (I.E. Yamato against the Scimitar and/or a Basestar, Galactica vs Scimitar or a Medarusa, Enterprise vs a Basestar or Medarusa, etc). Another one I would like to see is Yamato Vs an Imperial 2 Star Destroyer.
That was within expectations. The Protector would probably TOS era while the Orville would have been TNG-Voyager. What we need is the upgraded Protector from when they relaunched the series at the end of the movie: GalaxyQuest The Journey Continues.
