- In this quick fishing session i concentrated on top water lures, to be exact on poppers. The result was satisfying, of course it is not a big game popping but very pleasing type of fishing. When you see fish following your lure and biting it, gives you goose bumps over and over again.

There is no best popper, all are different, every situation needs different one, the size of the Cup is very important, wider cup on wavy day and smaller cup on quite day

I used 3 different poppers by megabass, Jackson and Herakles caught on all of them, I had a rod 3-14g casting weight and 0.8pe braided line with 11 lb leader. 3000 size reel. Yea you can cast far and along the shore, it is your play, fish could be anywhere

There is different sizes, for this species I was using 5 to 8g

@@JIGHEADTV just wondering if i can use 7-21g Fav x1 8002M with Daiwa EMMS 3000H and 15lb braid line for this kind of poppers or jig (min 8g)? Would the rod be to heavy?
