Chiang Mai Main Line is a main line of the Northern Line operated by the State Railways of Thailand that connects the stations of Hua Lamphong in the centre and Chiang Mai in the north, passing through numerous provinces. It is the second longest railway line in Thailand after the Su-ngai Kolok Main Line. Notable among its services is the Nakhon Phing Express, the first-class train that runs along the line. There have been numerous accidents on the line in recent years, so track renewal work began in late 2013, and the line finally reopened on 2 December 2013.
