The 80s was the best. TV n movies show it with people dressed crazy, and weird. But us country folk wore our blue jeans. I did have a Sonny Crocket outfit I occasionally wore to the club. Lol.

80s Michelle Phifer was so Beautiful. 80s gals were Beautiful. Even if they was just running to the store for a Coke. They looked nice because they cared how they looked. No way would they go to a Wal-Mart in pajamas. The 80s was the greatest decade for a young person. The 70s and 80s was the best decades for music. I turned 16 in 80 and was getting in a huge club. Clubs were everywhere and the legal drinking age was 19. No tatted or overly pierced faces. Hardly any had pierced faces. I was so lucky to live it.
Yes..I was also 16 in 1980....those were the best times to grow up, I feel sorry for the kids today, they will never know the simple joyous times of the 70s 80s and even the 90s were cool. We never knew how good we had it....wouldn't trade those times for anything❤❤

Raul's appearance in this flick was the first time I recall seeing him. But I agree: great actor...and so *authentic* in this performance...the kind of guy you'd really like to have a couple shots of tequila with!
These three are so gorgeous. Pfeiffer, Russell, Gibson at their early best. And Raul Julia is a fabulous character. The movie, the plot, the setting, the music, the script, cinematography by Connie Hall, all make it one of the 80s best movies. I've seen it 10 times and still love it. Saw it at Christmastime in Chicago when it was snowing and bleak outside. Great gift to myself. Thanks, TH-cam.
I saw this movie billboard when I was in the US Navy as we embarked in Honolulu, Hawaii 1988. I hadn't seen it before whiles station in San Diego, CA. The billboard was on the main strip on Waikiki beach where you could rent luxury sport cars back then for $100 an hour with a credit card as a retainer. The famous strip where the Lollipop strip bar was located.
I dug a lot of actors in the 80's; Michelle Pfeiffer was always one of my best ; Into The Night, Married To The Mob, Witches Of Eastwick, Ladyhawke, Dangerous Liasons - she was on a run in the 80's and I loved it. Tequila Sunrise is one of her best!!!!!

An absolute favourite movie - great actors, great storyline. Full of suspense & search for love that we all seek. And of course a youthful Mel Gibson. ❤
A ton of credit goes to Conrad Hall, who earned an Oscar nomination for Best Cinematography. Michelle Pfeiffer is gorgeous but Hall is a HUGE reason she looks so luminous in this.
I used to watch Michelle Pfeiffer a lot when we went to the same high school. My friend said I had a weird obsession....I tried to tell her that Michelle wasnt like other people. She always was unusually beautiful, distant, and stayed separate from the rest of the world. She was destined for a life in entertainment. One night she walked into the stage on the Johnny Carson show and I turned to my friend and said "See??".

Saw this back in the day. Great film. Miss Julia, could not believe years ago when I heard he died. Such a tallented actor. The old days! Life was so different, not better, just, different.
I was 17 when I saw this underated masterpiece of the 80s. Gibson made a criminal into a sympathetic ( although if you pay attention you'll note that Mac accidentally got trapped into the drug game by getting arrested in Mexico for smoking a joint as a 20 year old) character and him Russell ( who himself made a ruthless cop into a sympathetic character) were cooler than ice, Piefer hotter than hell but with an innocent pure air. Like a 1950s Hollywood beauty. The actors that played Hal and Dale's cousin were great too. Perfect for the roles. All the small parts nailed it too. Raul Julia was a powerhouse. Had a similar emergy to Anthony Quinn. The script was complex and full of twists with excellent dialogue. The cinematography was amazing. A pleasure to watch. Almost makes you feel like you're in S California.

Finding this one is a real treat. Saw it when it was releasd, have it on DVD. The love scene between Dale and JoAnne is the best. JTW & RJ gone too soon, both were great talents.
This movie had the distinction of being the first to have the original Batman (1989) trailer attached to it. The movie itself was panned by critics and audiences weren't big on it either, but it actually did well at the box office thanks to legions of excited Batman fans buying up tickets just to watch the previews!
Some fucking amazing shots in this one. Talented actors, as well. Michelle Pfeiffer kicked ass as Catwoman in Batman Returns, Mel Gibson was the man in the three Mad Max movies he appeared in, Kurt Russell was a badass as Snake Plissken in Escape from New York, and Raul Julia was funny as hell as Gomez Addams in the two The Addams Family movies. Fuck yes, 80s and 90s all damn day.
