That final scene between Aaron and Chas was so intense. The desperation in Chas' eyes when she held the knife to her wrist and the panic in Aaron's when he realised how this was affecting her - it was heartbreaking to watch. Danny and Lucy were incredible.
Wow! That final scene with Chaz definantly had an impact! I guarantee that got Aaron's attention! His mom being willing to go to extreme and cut herself as well to make him see what he is doing and how it is affecting the people around him! And Paddy, he was always great with Aaron! Best male role model in Aaron's life and a great person all around! I love both the characters of Paddy and Chaz! Aaron too, though sometimes I do get frustrated with his character, he has shown time and time again that he would do anything for the people that he loves, that he does have a loving side, and he is very loyal and redeemable!
Lucy Pargeter, Danny Miller, and Dominic Brunt are absolutely brillant in this and last scene. The performance by Lucy Pargeter and Danny Miller is SUPERB. ALL of the 3 actors work well together. It is a very touching and powerful scene at the end. Chas/ Lucy Pargeter was inspiring. WOW!!!
when Chas took that knife and and was about to hurt herself i cried so hard i love this soap cause it really highlights on real issues that people deal with and they do it welll and the acting is just amazing!!!!!!
Powerful, Impacting, Emotional. Chas in total desperation taking knife and willing to cut her own wrist to show how Aaron is hurting those who love him, caught his attention and the fear in his eyes. Aaron pleading, "Mum don't, please don't". As he gently put his hand on hers to take the knife away. Ending hugging each other. Paddy who loves Aaron as his own, defiant in that Aaron listen and explain why. Paddy has always been a good listener and thoughtful before he speaks. It breaks my heart that he is going through this, Aaron who loves those around him and willing to help them. This lovable person can't seem to find a way to help himself. I hope he finds that way.
oh my word! that gave me the chills! THOSE THREE... what a wonderful, powerful performance! I... have no words... it was brilliant to say the least! And I feel for Chas... she's a mum... and mum's NEVER stop caring or worrying... or should I say a loving mum...
That final scene between Aaron and chas was so intense. The desperation in chas's eyes when she held the knife to her wrist and the panic in Aaron's when he realised how this was affecting her - it was you Aaron cute
I´ve been catching up with the episodes from September and I got tears in my eyes. This sl is so amazing and heartbreaking. It´s so well written and absolutely brilliantely acted.
Paddy may be a pushover at times, but when it really comes down to it he's tough as nails. You don't see acting and writing like this in American soaps or, hell, soaps from any other country. Britain has cornered the market as far as I'm concerned. Beautifully tragic and completely believable.
that last bit was so powerful, it really does sum up how someone you love, especially your mom feels, she doesn't know what else to do to make him see and it so sad cause he cant help that he is damaged :C
ED keeps coming up with amazing scenes.Lucy and Danny are really good together.Didn't watch when they had troubles but mother and son are really trying to work at having a good relationship with each other.
Chaz is such an interesting character. She lives in extremes but in a different way. Predictably, she is extremely annoying. She gets ideas into her head and goes off and does stuff without thinking. However, the other extreme is a whole lot more endearing. When she is not being extremely annoying, which is like 90 percent of the time, she's being extremely brilliant! Way to go Chaz!
Wow that was flipping awesome! Made me tear up and that does not happen often. Let's hope this is the turning point for Aaron and he doesn't continue to self destruct.
Oh. Wow. That was epic. Force him to understand what it's like to watch your own flesh and blood hurt themselves deliberately. Epic acting by Chaz. Wow. Just... wow.
The truth is since forever they kill Aaron, killed Jackson with kindness. It's not tough love they needed/need but people who know something. Chas, Paddy keeping secrets trying to tip toe over problems, keeping the I heads in the sand achieve nothing. Had Hazel consulted professionals or even the nurse Jackson might not have died in the way he did. Yes, maybe he'd have been tormented a bit more by professionals who actually had experience with such situations. If Paddy had consulted someone instead of badgering Aaron he might not have been beaten to a pulp. If they would stop killing Aaron with understanding and kindness but force him into professional help he might not have attempted suicide and now they're doing it again because they want to be liked more than save him. He's like a heroin addict or alcoholic. Severe measures are necessary not jammer ing to each other and accepting his edict. He needs to be in treatment where he cannot run away. Even if it means him hating them.
The acting on this show is ridiculous! And by ridiculous I mean great! Really, at this point, with someone like Aaron who refuses to stop harming himself - the only real alternative is to force him into a mental institution. He'll probably hate you for it, but at least he doesn't run the risk of killing himself.
jeez... I'm so messed up... I'm reading that you all teared up and cried in the end, but not me, no, I kind of laughed when he said "you're freaking me out"... o.O Yes, I'm weird... But I have to say, Chas and Paddy are really hurting over this. They are desperate and Aaron is really calm and cool about it, not angry and not lashing out.
I know Chas is upset, but what she just did with that knife was not a great move. You never threaten a self harmer like that. Even if Aaron was in therapy, (which he will be) self harm is an on going issue, therapy does not make you stop just like that. Therapy is also going to be a big issue for Aaron, as he doesn't like talking about himself/feelings. 😢
People always say that you should just stop and don't understand that it's an impossible decision to just make, and that's why's so hard to talk about like bruh, as if i never had the idea to "just stop" you ain't even trying to understand
@Insouciantly At least Danny is winning non stop. Although Pauline deserves too. I´ve heard about the EE actress winning lately she can´t come close to Pauline. Writting is better too. But I suppose it´s inevitable. EE takes place in London
psa: dont use threats of hurting yourself to get other people to do what you want. manipulative ass mom like just ask him whats wrong away from the cutting lmao
Last scene was superb. Aaron needs to be sectioned which he can be for 28 days if a doctor and another expert in mental health deem it necessary under Section 2 . They have to speak to Aaron first and Chas needs to make that call but even if Aaron wont speak to them they can make a judgement if they feel he is a danger to himself. Cant see how else this storyline will go as he is determined not to stop.
No man is an island ... "in real life" ... is not as it seems.. hopefully he comes around and understand his mother agony on loosing her son to a wall.
@greymushroom1 That's all well and good as long as Aaron sits in the therapist's office. Intervention short of involuntary institutionalization won't prevent the self-mutilation, it'll simply forestall it until Aaron is alone again and compelled by his guilt to incise his own flesh.

same with glass with robert
That final scene gave me chills. The actress who plays Chaz, is freaking amazing. she keeps making me cry.

i love how paddy just took control well i haven't so sit down!!!!!!!! paddy isn't his father but he raised Aaron so he basically is his father
when Chas took that knife and and was about to hurt herself i cried so hard i love this soap cause it really highlights on real issues that people deal with and they do it welll and the acting is just amazing!!!!!!
U just gatter love Paddy, he is such a good man - he really cares about Aaron

Chas started to make me be all teary eyed at 4:44! How powerful the acting, the issue and the acting
OMG . . the last part is SUPERB!

Yet another breathtaking episode. Chas was Superb.

Wow that was flipping awesome! Made me tear up and that does not happen often. Let's hope this is the turning point for Aaron and he doesn't continue to self destruct.
Wow. Chas hits the spot.... got a little teary there.
Oh. Wow.

WOW most moving scene so far... I had a tear in my eye, i hope this gets though to him now the tables are turned..
Yea! Lucy Pargeter really shines out!!!!!
Can't they make Aaron smile for once :( I hope they give him help, soaps always drags the worst situations out...
Uuuuuuh Just whant to hug Aaron so badly!

I feel for his mom. I know what he's going through, and I know it often seems like we dont care that we're hurting people. But we do.
You know how Chas and Paddy are falling apart over Aaron's self destruction and self harm reminds me how Aaron was with Jackson his.
jeez... I'm so messed up... I'm reading that you all teared up and cried in the end, but not me, no, I kind of laughed when he said "you're freaking me out"... o.O Yes, I'm weird...

Aaron's like:"bitch wtf just happened"
Both mums look so worn out...great acting.
OMG!!!!! the acting if chas is sooo powerful! maybe now Aaron realizes what he is making then go threw!

@paris0650 if u read what i typed I said doesn't goes by the books. not a conventional therapist, i am obviously aware of that.
OMG I love Paddy

Go Paddy
@jasonwojnicz it was a steak knife I think!
Oh....My....GOD!
@Mighthore Agree! And yeah this epi was Lucy´s. She owned :)
@pdcub5 Paddy wasn't aggressive. Just firm.
@thetoohappygirl Paddy is the best father figure in Aaron's life. Aggressive Paddy is what Aaron needs right now.
they dont have to commit him they just need to find a therapist who is not afraid to be determine and doesn't goes by the books.
He could at least have rung Chas and told her he was doing overtime even if it's difficult to promise that he won't cut any more.
Psychological warfare...reverse psychology..etc...well done.
No man is an island ... "in real life" ... is not as it seems.. hopefully he comes around and understand his mother agony on loosing her son to a wall.
