Really good content for the western go community! This video and also the self review one. Saw your videos reccomended on multiple discord servers. It think making the thumbnails and your camera setup a little more prosseional and the 10k subs are garantueed :)
Great video! Just wonder, once i finish to solve some beginner questions from a book and quit, how do i continue to proceed in the other day? I see there is no option for books to autosave.
I tend to remember where I left off personally. There's also an orange box that appears if you've attempted a problem before that shows your result. And hey, repeating problems is by no means a bad thing.
11:16 you can change the green button function with the problem setting form. Just set it to book order and 50 problems per time and it will remember your session like homework
Hello! I heard you on the Star Point Podcast...do you have any resources regarding your perspective on power vs territory? I found what you were saying very enlightening as a DDK
I don't recommend Antti's version of Gokyo Shumyo. It has many errors both in the problems and answers. Get an asian version instead and just learn the kanji for black/white to play.
On the contrary, I know for a fact Antti's version contains several corrected answers from common asian versions. Tsumego books are extremely hard to get right, and I haven't gone through Antti's version and the competing versions in all, but Antti's version (while almost certainly not flawless) should be just fine from an error density standpoint, especially as he could and did often use KataGo to double check during the book creation process.
@@telegraphgo It's been awhile since I went through it, but I recall that there were a few problems that were printed incorrectly (missing stones etc), along with a few answers that were outright wrong, but many answers that were bad, i.e., they did not show the essence of the problem. One of the issues that can crop up when using Katago is that it tends to minimize the damage, leading to short tepid answers rather than showing the 'meat and potatoes' of the problem. I was quite dissatisfied with his version, unfortunately.
AT LAST! 101weiqi made easy for westerners! thank you :)
Great tips and book recommendations!
13:25 There are also translations of the Xuanxuan Qijing (Go Books), and also Guanzi Pu.

Thank you so much!
Thank you!!!
It says 15 kyu, but those are like 30 kyu problems... is the ranking system different for China?
it's just 101weiqi in particular that starts from 15k and gets pro level by 5dan
Maybe add the localizer's link to the description?
Great idea, I'll put it here too. chromewebstore.google.com/detail/101weiqilocalizer/emhhlhigmokehndjjmgnailciakdmoba
Is the Tian Long Tu available in print or digitally as well?
Not sure, I just do it on 101weiqi
