Lyrics:
"A corner of the world. A moment out of time.
Two people chance to meet, how bittersweet, how sublime.
And clinging there a while to gaze across the years
and hope the sun that sets brings no regrets and no tears.
And then the farewell bow, the lingered kiss goodbye.
And who explains the how and why these are moments for all time?
To think an escapade, a fly-by night affair
Would be an interlude that I’ve pursued everywhere.
And then the farewell bow, the lingered kiss goodbye.
And who explains the how and why these are moments for all time?
To think an escapade, a fly-by night affair
Would be an interlude that I’ve pursued everywhere.
And then the farewell bow, the lingered kiss goodbye.
And who explains the how and why these are moments for all time?
To think an escapade, a fly-by night affair
Would be an interlude that I’ve pursued everywhere."

The whole album.
Thankfully you're
Choosing the best 👌 💓 💕 ✨ ❤ 💖
A fantastic, dreamy interpretation by the amazing Veronica Swift of the Pete Rugolo (music)/Bob Russell (lyrics by the Songwriters Hall of Famer) song. As good as the June Christy version. She was #3 jazz singer on the planet in the last Downbeat Jazz Critics Poll. Great career ahead.
Almost as great as June Christy's original version.
Yes ,but one must remember without the cool school singers of 60yrs ago there would be NO Veronica Swift.. in my opinion she has a lot to learn and has NOT found her own voice YET
@@mjc5509 Veronica Swift was #3 in the Downbeat International Critics Poll of 2022 behind Cécile McLorin Salvant and Jazzmeia Horn. If she has a lot to learn, she's looking down (poll-wise) at many of her elders, according to the toughest jazz critics on the planet. No one 'scats' better than Veronica, who keeps the past classics alive. Cheers.😇
