as someone who is labeled a sweat in builds by my friends and random people, the first day of og was the most fun i have had on this game in years since chapter 3's launch like i felt like i was back in 2017/2018 when i felt a rush being in endgame or top 10. even my irls who rarely play said they had fun even if the lobbies are sweaty. heck my one irl who is excited to play og with me and my irl group was disappointed to hear that they added bots and sbmm and she only plays maybe during holiday breaks and summer.
bots suck but i still don't understand why people dislike sbmm. literally anyone who is against it is a sweat who wants to dominate and kill players under their skill level. like wtf go fight other sweats lmao. first day of og my friend was literally winning back to back with multiple kills because it was easy for him. he is ranked player

the thing about bots is that they are for the new/returning players who dont have as much experience as someone who has been playing this game consistently. they provide a counter balance of people really really good at building, and then enemies who play closer to how a bad player might. not everyone has the skill/want to build battle. "well then play zero builds" the problem with that is that returning players may want to play builds. they might have enjoyed the older style of using builds to make quick cover or get to high places, not to build way up and duel people through edits. zero builds might turn them off because at that point, its not really OG fortnite. and the argument could also be flipped on its head, instead telling players to go play ranked if they want to build battle and try super hard. the bots are for the new/returning players to balance out matchmaking a bit and make their experience better, so they feel more willing to play the game more and get better, and maybe even get to a point where they can build battle as well, if they decide to stick around long enough. but if they are getting curbstomped on repeat, they instead might just turn the game off and go play something else.
I feel like everyone with this opinion say the same shit. As a member of a casual squad, I feel much more rewarded when I kill other casuals and do enjoy fighting the occasional sweat but when it's every player in every lobby I go in, that's when it gets unfun and unplayable. I play the game for fun not to only fight a bunch of turbo build timmys
Mate, you're playing a fuckin PvP game. The "Sweats" you called are the people who just use the tools the game gave them and use them properly. It's not something that is Warmachine jetpack or Anime Superpowers. Go play zero build if you want. Don't blame the players who are actually just better than you even with your excuse to stay "Casual".

I am a good builder but I am on a pc with 1060ti graphics card so I am at an average console player that is good at the game but doesnt destroy cash cup lobbies. To me when I played the og mode , I found myself to experience the same overwhealming feeling that I get from cashcups (I tried out a few). Even if the loot is horrible , the map is empty and the double pump is overpowered right now, The game feels horrible, I dont like bots but I dont like players who know the latest sh...ty trick learne from a dum,,,ss youtuber or tiktoker neither. If youre gonna play like that go in ranked . AND I admit most people that call other sweats or cheaters do so for no reason and they are awful at the game , but trust me I am average, I do edits (triple edits and all), I know highground takeovers and sh...t but it is overwhealming for a lot of people . And it reminds me how overwheaming season X was because of that. Skilled based matchmaking (with few but less than 20 bots per lobby) should be good. the SBM is something that improved fortnite, Yall dont appreciate how good the game is now (apart from all the bugs and glitches) it improved, going back to exactly 1.0 patch would destroy the game experience for everybody.
U have to accept that ppl are better than u and once u do that u can see that this is similar to how OG gameplay was and have fun dying all the time (or camping like the old days) and also trying to improve by fighting better players instead of just playing against ppl at the same skill level. I completly agree about the bots, I really hate them and the only time me and my friends played without bots it was so good. I think that in the worst case scenario they should have added only sbmm but no bots. Bots really ruin the experience
Can't believe I saw this, but I have to massively disagree. Look so like genuinely not everyone can get good at a video game. Tbh I've played this game none stop and put in hard effort since it came out and I'm still buns. I can't even build. Forcing people who play this game casually for fun against the next FNCs winners just isn't fun. And you shouldn't just yell at everyone who can't crack 90s and genuinely get skill in a game to just "get better" Skill based matchmaking balances this out allowing casuals to fight other casuals. And there's nothing wrong with that either. Because pros can fight other pros. What you said about someone who grinded skill and how they deserve the win against a casual player is pure greed and selfishness. Like yea they do deserve the win because they put in the effort. But letting them ruin someone else's experience isn't a good thing. And they'll most likely quit the game for something like that. I'll say more later on if you want to reply
the problem with catering to the higher tier players is that it alienates the lower tier players and creates a situation where a game doesnt have new players coming in, only people who have been around for a while, which creates a huge problem for playercounts. i personally think if they added an OG mode with no bots, and then a separate "OG AI" mode or something that DID have bots, it would help remedy the issue. definitely wouldnt be a fix but itd be a bandaid if nothing else.
@@Phantom_Ashes I agree, it does massively alienate the newer players base without skill based matchmaking. When it comes to sbmm, I think lower levels should have bots while higher sbmm match's should have none of them.
My last game before this patch was amazing, all real people and I had 11 kills in zero build and just like in OG, I completely crapped myself upon realising a 1v1 despite being having won many times in the past. I lost the 1v1 and honestly that was still the best game I played in a while I fking loved it.

There is to many sweat but still they ruined the game by adding bots all they needed to do was remove turbo building and add old movement and it would of nerfed them but they just dont listen
The only way I can think of how the more casual side of players think is that it’s not that they are complaining that everyone else is better than them, but the fact that those people who have dedicated the time and effort to get good stay in lobbies that they are comfortable with instead of moving to ranked against much harder opponents. I understand both sides, ‘sweats’ want to enjoy the effort of being good and ‘casuals’ want to enjoy something without inherently being forced to practice. The only thing I can say for certain is that neither player likes bots so they shouldn’t exist!

But no matter how hard he works, he sees no improvement in his game. He only ever makes 50% of his shots. This is skill based matchmaking. The moment you improve, your opponents also do, you never really get to reap the reward of your labor.
@matheuscabral9618 that would be true if it wasn't for ranked existing, if you get to the point where your lobbies feel the same even though you've drastically improved, then obviously it's time to switch to ranked where you can experience more challenging games. There's a reason people refer to non ranked as casual matches, because its just not meant to be impossibly difficult for 90% of the playerbase
Fortnite OG should have a bot mode for people who play casually I liked not having to deal with bots and fighting sweats I felt like I was getting better at the game but then people complained and they added bots and now when I fight a real player I play like #### because I expect people to be AI and this is why I hate AI they lower my expectation and I end up paying the price for it

Bots exist to make SBMM not take too long to get matches started. Also, if you get rid of SBMM, extremely bad players will not play the game, and extremely good players will be very bored. If someone gets very good at the game, it will be boring because a huge amount of the fanbase is terrible. This would especially be bad in a game like Fortnite because it doesn't have mandatory teamwork like OW2 does. I'm not interested in fighting random people for the same reason im not interested in fighting Mike Tyson or a toddler. A massive amount of the playerbase are little kids and people who only play the game for skins or play as a way to socialize with friends. I'd rather not be constantly matched with these people. Imagine if fighting games had no SBMM. Competitive players would be bored as fuck. Also, if you think SBMM shouldn't exist, then should it not exist for Ranked? Should it not exist for athletic sports? "If you're better at the game, you shouldn't be punished by matching with higher-skilled players" Contradicts itself. OW2 doesn't have bots because it's a hero shooter, and as a result, the queue times are literally 10x longer than Fortnite.

@BSingh-on4qr honestly mate, im assuming your on controller cuz most mkb players dont care about this. If epic removes turbo build, MKB PLAYERS STILL HAVE SCROLL WHEEL. AKA turbo building without turbo building. Getting rid of turbo building isnt going to make people worse at the game sorry, it will only make controller players build slightly slowerdifferently. Turbo building was added in season 3 my guy. And it mainly helps bad players the most. Youve had 7 years now to get better at building. Even when i was controller, i thought the turbo build was great for comp.

And whats funny is that you always have normal br and reload, your not forced to be og. sbmm actually made the mode like 2x less fun i still love it but i enjoyed it even as a bad player because i had to actually be careful and try to survive and if i died it was still enjoyable but now its just too easy to survive to top 10
I think the real problem is that without the bots, the game is just going to be too sweaty and unenjoyable, particularly for newer players, and the queue times will also be way slower since the game needs to make sure it can find real players your skill and not a sweat lobby.
Also what they mean by relaxing is having a fun time, playing casually, and having a lower heart rate. Your heart rate is high when you are forced to put on a Ninja sweatband and go full-sweat. It's just that, it just takes the fun out of the game for more casual players.
Sbmm and bots werent in chapter one. You didn’t get a win every match like in chapters 2-6. People that are so bad that they actually find joy in killing ai instead of people shouldn’t play any types of game in general.
First day of OG i got a win..and I celebrated I was happy that I didn't have to face bots but rather real players..but since bots are now added. Yeah it's a bit easier to win. But it doesn't feel the same as winning against real players.
Tbh ppl don’t understand that “battle royal” in general is a game of survival not survival of bots. So br is supposed to be challenging cuz ITS BATTLE ROYAL with real people that you have to fight to win. I don't know why anyone complains there is more to life than videogames trust me. I wanna start by saying I am a Millennial. So I'm in my early 30s, my husband and I literally play this with almost his entire family, we rotate lobbies cause more and more family are joining the gaming sessions which is great we all trade out or have 2 lobbies running while we chat in discord. This video sounds super entitled to me, who are you to say people can't play games to relax? It's a hobby for everyone but just certain people and we all enjoy them differently. When OG was announced we were kinda meh about it cause we didn't play back then and were honestly sick of it being brought up or having it be the main battle pass, after playing a few rounds it was ridiculous, I would literally be gone as soon as I landed most matches, that has nothing to do with skill we had no chance to even defend ourselves, the sweats were ruining the experience for a lot of players, literally if you want a challenge go play ranked it's why it was created. Not everyone wants a boss fight feel every drop and the bots I feel made it way more enjoyable, I am not blinded by nostalgia like most of the OG lovers out there, I think it's bland and I like where Fortnite is now it's so much better.
The problem is that epic doesn't give us the option to play how we want. We cannot choose if we are playing against bots or players. So when the mode releases with no bots and then people start complaining about sweats and then immediately bota get re introduced, it's easy to put the blame for having bots in the people that were complaining, instead of on epic games.
But what about the casuals that don't wanna fight bots eh? I'm a casual, and i wanna fight real people, you think i should go play ranked where the competitive players play??? Just get rid of the damn bots, and add a "Bot Fill" option like the Duo Fill, the Squad Fill, just so people that don't like fighting real players fight 99 bots, i don't get why y'all get to have your way and ruin everything for everyone else, and i also blame Epic for just catering to one side of the community, the solution is so easy, the Bot Fill would make everyone happy and is so easy to do, and they just choose not to do it.

The word "sweats" is actually defined Helos if you didn't know btw. Being a sweat does not just mean having simple movement, it also means cranking on other players, editing builds and flicking your shots swiftly, and heavily utilizing aim assist.
I agree that bots are unfulfilling to kill but it gets to the point where you keep dying over and over and its just not fun to play. People who suck (like me) dont find dying every single game fun.

I wouldn’t say it was “ruined.” SBMM was really necessary but adding in bots was extremely unnecessary in my opinion. I thankfully got 3 wins on the first day before they added in bots! It actually felt rewarding to win just like how it was back then! My skill also increased because of no bots. But unfortunately they got added. Other than that, Fortnite OG so far is really good!👍
To me, multiplayers games are the most difficult, like you say, but i feel that SBMM is needed. But however not just putting you in the game with player at the same level as you. Im gonna take to example Splatoon : Splatoon, like a lot other PvP games, has a ranked. But a ranked with three mode : The Serie, where you can tryhard/train, the Open, when you don't loose point, basically to chill, and X match, you can only access it when you get hight enought in ranked, and is supposely made to be THE competitive mode, with a leaderboard and all. (If there are people who knew a little bit competitive Splatoon can you put the issue bc i know there is some but i don't remember what issue). And if you want the equivalent to bot lobbie in Fortnite just play Turf War, due to the fact that there is no skill matchmaking in there, and every begginer get absolutely destroyed by more experimented players. (Sorry if my english is not very good, im french and im still learning)

I played the OG mode when it first released and then didn’t play it for the next 2 days and I did NOT know they added sbmm and bots. I didn’t care if the lobbies were “sweaty” or not for the day, I was still having fun with my friends and when they got off I still had fun because it was all real players which made the wins more meaningful and felt like more of an accomplishment. Now with bots it’s just gonna feel like another normal win.
"Stop crying" when you guys cried so much that you forced the addition of bots and SBMM in OG, and we are talking about Epic Games, a company that most of the time does not listen to his community unless there is way too much players complaining about something, so that gives you an idea of how many of you casuals started crying on social media 💀💀

as someone who is labeled a sweat in builds by my friends and random people, the first day of og was the most fun i have had on this game in years since chapter 3's launch like i felt like i was back in 2017/2018 when i felt a rush being in endgame or top 10. even my irls who rarely play said they had fun even if the lobbies are sweaty. heck my one irl who is excited to play og with me and my irl group was disappointed to hear that they added bots and sbmm and she only plays maybe during holiday breaks and summer.

the thing about bots is that they are for the new/returning players who dont have as much experience as someone who has been playing this game consistently. they provide a counter balance of people really really good at building, and then enemies who play closer to how a bad player might. not everyone has the skill/want to build battle.
"well then play zero builds" the problem with that is that returning players may want to play builds. they might have enjoyed the older style of using builds to make quick cover or get to high places, not to build way up and duel people through edits. zero builds might turn them off because at that point, its not really OG fortnite. and the argument could also be flipped on its head, instead telling players to go play ranked if they want to build battle and try super hard.
the bots are for the new/returning players to balance out matchmaking a bit and make their experience better, so they feel more willing to play the game more and get better, and maybe even get to a point where they can build battle as well, if they decide to stick around long enough. but if they are getting curbstomped on repeat, they instead might just turn the game off and go play something else.

As a member of a casual squad, I feel much more rewarded when I kill other casuals and do enjoy fighting the occasional sweat but when it's every player in every lobby I go in, that's when it gets unfun and unplayable. And it reminds me how overwheaming season X was because of that. Skilled based matchmaking (with few but less than 20 bots per lobby) should be good. the SBM is something that improved fortnite, Yall dont appreciate how good the game is now (apart from all the bugs and glitches) it improved, going back to exactly 1.0 patch would destroy the game experience for everybody.
U have to accept that ppl are better than u and once u do that u can see that this is similar to how OG gameplay was and have fun dying all the time (or camping like the old days) and also trying to improve by fighting better players instead of just playing against ppl at the same skill level. the problem with catering to the higher tier players is that it alienates the lower tier players and creates a situation where a game doesnt have new players coming in, only people who have been around for a while, which creates a huge problem for playercounts.
i personally think if they added an OG mode with no bots, and then a separate "OG AI" mode or something that DID have bots, it would help remedy the issue. definitely wouldnt be a fix but itd be a bandaid if nothing else.

My last game before this patch was amazing, all real people and I had 11 kills in zero build and just like in OG, I completely crapped myself upon realising a 1v1 despite being having won many times in the past. I lost the 1v1 and honestly that was still the best game I played in a while I fking loved it.

The only way I can think of how the more casual side of players think is that it’s not that they are complaining that everyone else is better than them, but the fact that those people who have dedicated the time and effort to get good stay in lobbies that they are comfortable with instead of moving to ranked against much harder opponents. I understand both sides, ‘sweats’ want to enjoy the effort of being good and ‘casuals’ want to enjoy something without inherently being forced to practice. The only thing I can say for certain is that neither player likes bots so they shouldn’t exist!

Fortnite OG should have a bot mode for people who play casually I liked not having to deal with bots and fighting sweats I felt like I was getting better at the game but then people complained and they added bots and now when I fight a real player I play like #### because I expect people to be AI and this is why I hate AI they lower my expectation and I end up paying the price for it

Bots exist to make SBMM not take too long to get matches started.
Also, if you get rid of SBMM, extremely bad players will not play the game, and extremely good players will be very bored.
If someone gets very good at the game, it will be boring because a huge amount of the fanbase is terrible. This would especially be bad in a game like Fortnite because it doesn't have mandatory teamwork like OW2 does.
I'm not interested in fighting random people for the same reason im not interested in fighting Mike Tyson or a toddler.

And whats funny is that you always have normal br and reload, your not forced to be og. sbmm actually made the mode like 2x less fun i still love it but i enjoyed it even as a bad player because i had to actually be careful and try to survive and if i died it was still enjoyable but now its just too easy to survive to top 10
I think the real problem is that without the bots, the game is just going to be too sweaty and unenjoyable, particularly for newer players, and the queue times will also be way slower since the game needs to make sure it can find real players your skill and not a sweat lobby.
Also what they mean by relaxing is having a fun time, playing casually, and having a lower heart rate. Your heart rate is high when you are forced to put on a Ninja sweatband and go full-sweat. It's just that, it just takes the fun out of the game for more casual players.
Sbmm and bots werent in chapter one. You didn’t get a win every match like in chapters 2-6. People that are so bad that they actually find joy in killing ai instead of people shouldn’t play any types of game in general.
First day of OG i got a win..and I celebrated I was happy that I didn't have to face bots but rather real players..but since bots are now added. Yeah it's a bit easier to win. But it doesn't feel the same as winning against real players.

I wanna start by saying I am a Millennial. So I'm in my early 30s, my husband and I literally play this with almost his entire family, we rotate lobbies cause more and more family are joining the gaming sessions which is great we all trade out or have 2 lobbies running while we chat in discord. This video sounds super entitled to me, who are you to say people can't play games to relax? It's a hobby for everyone but just certain people and we all enjoy them differently. When OG was announced we were kinda meh about it cause we didn't play back then and were honestly sick of it being brought up or having it be the main battle pass, after playing a few rounds it was ridiculous, I would literally be gone as soon as I landed most matches, that has nothing to do with skill we had no chance to even defend ourselves, the sweats were ruining the experience for a lot of players, literally if you want a challenge go play ranked it's why it was created. Not everyone wants a boss fight feel every drop and the bots I feel made it way more enjoyable, I am not blinded by nostalgia like most of the OG lovers out there, I think it's bland and I like where Fortnite is now it's so much better.

The problem is that epic doesn't give us the option to play how we want. We cannot choose if we are playing against bots or players. So when the mode releases with no bots and then people start complaining about sweats and then immediately bota get re introduced, it's easy to put the blame for having bots in the people that were complaining, instead of on epic games.
Fortnite isn’t supposed to be a relaxing chill game, if you want that there are plenty out there, Fortnite just isn’t one of them.

The word "sweats" is actually defined Helos if you didn't know btw. Being a sweat does not just mean having simple movement, it also means cranking on other players, editing builds and flicking your shots swiftly, and heavily utilizing aim assist.
I agree that bots are unfulfilling to kill but it gets to the point where you keep dying over and over and its just not fun to play. People who suck (like me) dont find dying every single game fun.

Skins doesn't mean anything. You can be the worst player in the game and still buy any sweat skin combo and equip it just because its popular
@ yeah I know skins is just skins but still I rather want to see some original skins that not many ppl use than these skins that I see everytime in the game . Whit kids who thinks they are a sweat just some originality thats what I woukd like to see but thats my opinion
I wouldn’t say it was “ruined.” SBMM was really necessary but adding in bots was extremely unnecessary in my opinion. I thankfully got 3 wins on the first day before they added in bots! It actually felt rewarding to win just like how it was back then! My skill also increased because of no bots. But unfortunately they got added. Other than that, Fortnite OG so far is really good!👍
I was pissed when I found they added bots into the game. I really hope epic takes the hint and revert the change
To me, multiplayers games are the most difficult, like you say, but i feel that SBMM is needed. But however not just putting you in the game with player at the same level as you. Im gonna take to example Splatoon : Splatoon, like a lot other PvP games, has a ranked. But a ranked with three mode : The Serie, where you can tryhard/train, the Open, when you don't loose point, basically to chill, and X match, you can only access it when you get hight enought in ranked, and is supposely made to be THE competitive mode, with a leaderboard and all. (If there are people who knew a little bit competitive Splatoon can you put the issue bc i know there is some but i don't remember what issue). And if you want the equivalent to bot lobbie in Fortnite just play Turf War, due to the fact that there is no skill matchmaking in there, and every begginer get absolutely destroyed by more experimented players.

@@LucidArtXD no you want full bot lobbies to play by yourself. If you are in a game with people of your level and you don't get killed by a bot you are killed by another casual gamer. if you encounter another casual gamer you will not take it easy on each other and the most casual gamer will win.

As someone who played in chapter one is could be considered bad in my opinion sbmm was needed as its not dun when someon ecan kill you in seconds by someone who is better way better than you and when you try to complain evwryone just says get better but it definitely didnt need bots as if you give people an even playing field then you wont need ai

Since they added bots I've been getting alot more wins and like yeah im happy im getting more wins but honestly it doesn't really feel that special since most of the game im just battling bots

i lit just started playing and wanted to try og, i got fullboxed twice the moment i dropped, i also dont have time to play besides on the weekends, so i cant get better at the game in like a week, i wanted to play og to relax not to be scared to fight someone, u are entitled on the other players lmao

At this point. Epic should just put "Baby mode" for those who are "Casuals" with less rewards and 5 casual wins means 1 normal win.

I played the OG mode when it first released and then didn’t play it for the next 2 days and I did NOT know they added sbmm and bots. I didn’t care if the lobbies were “sweaty” or not for the day, I was still having fun with my friends and when they got off I still had fun because it was all real players which made the wins more meaningful and felt like more of an accomplishment. Now with bots it’s just gonna feel like another normal win.

I enjoyed the difficulty of the OG mode until they changed it to snorefest, im trying to play a game and it feels like im playing it 10x slower than usual after the addition of SBMM and bots, Save the world is a good option if you can't handle losing tho. Not trying to be mean tho.
