reason+ seems to have a good workflow for making synths and effects like that :) it should be mentioned though that "plugins" made with reason are not VST plugins. They can only be used within reason. I'd like to suggest to you Blue Cat Plug'n Script, which actually is a plugin that lets you make plugins, literally. But it's a bit harder to use than reason

i found a DAW that lets you create every thing you want c: Bitwig studio you can modulate everything, can use containers for creating layers of sounds and effects, and you can MODULATE and MODULATE MODULATION and can bild EVERTYTHING you can imagen you can use simple stock sampler like monophonic sampler, but also like multisampler and also you can make from that same sampler a synth by five seconds.. from simle sampler to the most advanced synth with any effect (and thats effects can be modulate and can modulate each other and so one and one)
It's functionality is almost the same as built-in plugin "patcher" in FL Studio. EDIT: I see now that I was not the first to comment this :D Patcher allows to combine and connect any input output of any plugin (generator / effect) and then create custom user interface. So you can create non-linear effect chains and generators or mix of both.
@@HOLLASOUNDS I see, but there is nothing stopping you from using VSTs that simulate real hardware inside patcher. It's just a container, where you are not limited by puzzles only from one provider.

It's called patcher but it's not as advanced as reason+
Patcher also has some cool presets.

True but you only had 4 knobs and a custom face art, now you can literally make anything and have a whole wall of knobs and slidders mapped.

The oldest effects device in Reason work great for lofi effect. Just slap a Unison on piano and instant lofi piano achieved.

Nothing like Reasons Combinator 2. Patcher is similar to the original Combinator but Combinator 2 is on a whole other level.
Cakewalk has a feature like this as well
