- Hong Kong food travel vlog: Trying dim sum from Fook Lam Moon in Tsim Sha Tsui. This restaurant is famed for their classic Cantonese cuisine, high quality food and great customer service! Though they're mostly known for their dinner offerings, I was KEEN to try their dim sum. Dumplings, come at me. I'm ready.

Fook Lam Moon

With over 70 years of history, Fook Lam Moon is a classic spot for Cantonese cuisine and is known as the Tycoons' Canteen with their roster of regular businessmen and celebrities visiting. Though their dinner dishes (fried chicken, baked crab shell and winter melon) are more popular, I've been keen to try their dim sum offering for YEARS and today WAS THE DAY. COME TO ME. Must orders: the prawn dumplings and custard buns!
There are two restaurants in Hong Kong: Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui. I went to the latter!

There is absolutely NO WAY! I'm the Chinese Brit in London who also comes back to HK. Every time I visit this restaurant too when I am in HK!
Hahaha no way! A lot of coincidences here! First time going there and I really enjoyed the dim sum! Wish I could’ve gotten the fried chicken and baked crab shell but they were all sold out 😭😭😭
@@dejashu If you are going there next time, be sure to pre-order the char siu bao because they are famous for it. Oh its your first time haha. Its part of my tradition now haha Not going to lie, it's a bit pricey
Oooh, gotcha! Definitely won’t be the last time I’ll be visiting - was going to go for dinner too but ran out of time! Definitely a bit pricier than local joints but was SO worth it. Food is one thing I never mind splashing out on if it’s great quality! 😍💛

Because as I was walking by a Chow King restaurant in the valley outside of LA, I noticed this sign that reads “Congee with tofu” Hahahaaa... yes, congee reminds me of you! 😂😂😂 Anyway, that was fun. Dim sum always looks good. Can’t wait to see your adventures in Singapore! That’s a place I really want to travel to and eat the infamous chicken rice! 😋

Thank you for the reply Shu. I like going to sheung wan, where old mixes new and i like the smell of the salted dried fish mixed with chinese herbs haha. I like eating at Ding Tai Fung, go almost every Sunday. I can eat their Shiao lung bao for my entire life. I hope I get to meet you some day in HK.
Ooh I haven’t been to Sheung Wan in years! And Din Tai Fung soup dumplings are some of my FAVOURITES 😍😍😍
