Put it like this, let's say both team is perfectly equal mmr wise, but the enemy rank 103 is actually a rank 9, so instead of you having a rank top 10 as your teammate, you'd get a top 100 rank teammate. Their top 100 guy is way way better than your top 100 guy doesn't matter if you were the best player in the world.

Almost every pros has smurf acc. There is always a long que time when u are really high mmr and they want to avoid pressure by playing smurfs
