OMG !!! I was at this show. I can't believe someone recorded it. I was hoping someone recorded it. I am sad though because there is a song missing. There was a part of the show where it seemed like he was having issues with the sound and it looked like he gave up and he ended up singing Grace Cathedral Park acapella. Was really really hoping to hear that again. Does anyone out there have this full show?? I remember at the beginning of the show he says " I fell in love again" which got a round of applause.
Old Ramon was recorded in ‘98, most of the songs were written earlier though. It wasn’t released til the 2000s because of legal issues from my understanding
@@TheXpro11 I know it's everyone's favorite, but for RHP it has got to be Rollercoaster. I love all of them, but the shoegazey tones of that one just speak to me. Right after that I like their Retrospective with all the demos and B sides on it. For Sun Kil Moon, it's a toss up. Mark's albums are so ecclectic in SKM that it's so hard to choose. I'd say top three in no particular order are Among The Leaves, Admiral Fell Promises, and Ghosts of the Great Highway. Ah but damn it, I love all of them. Okay, make it top 5 and add Universal Themes and Benji. And Common As Light And Love Are Red Valleys Of Blood. Damn it. All of them. Whatever. OH, and the Jesu/Sun Kil Moon split with Carondelet on it. I love Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, Napalm Death), and so when I found out they were doing a collab, I lost my shit. Best day ever. My two favorite musicians, really. I DID NOT like the most recent SKM album. It was just... aimless. Far too much indulgence on that one. And the electronic instruments were just awful. But man, I've listened to every one of Mark's records. Each and every one. I'm so happy you have so many cool recordings of his early days. What a band.

There’s another video posted on here from a set they did in 1995 at alligator lounge and it has Grace cathedral park accapella
Dude this is so cool, they played “river” before “Old Ramon” even released on the album
