Not necessarily. I've done this kind of stuff in a 2004 Lexus RX 330. It didn't like it, but it didn't try to roll over. The reason why these Citroens roll so much is because they have HUGE amounts of suspension travel and no anti-roll.

@@major-Mihailo-Madzarevic Dyane is faster, more modern, sliding windows, hatchback. Park a 2CV and Dyane together and everyone gets excited to see the 2CV. Like having a cute puppy. Makes friends everywhere.
In Australia a 2CV is worth 50% more than a Dyane.
My 1990 2CV6 Charleston now has a Big Bore 652 cc engine + Power Tube. Much faster now than a Dyane...
Laughed at by all. Analog stability control!
I got this video recommended to me today after we were talking about the Dyane yesterday at work. I have never searched for or mentioned it ever before. Google is listening or pure coincidence? You tell me.
The acceleration is just insane !
LOL
WE NEED MORE OF THESE RALLYES !!
French genius
The most comfortable rally cars of all time.
Who needs ESP, when you got Citroên suspension?
Merci.
Why is everyone laughing? This is serious racing!!!
You gotta blame the laughing at the hilarious suspension
I had this car , and Ami 8 . One of the best car ever made . Very soft suspenzion but very stable car . I like it very much .
I was expecting every one of them to just rollover. They must have amazing suspension or amazing drivers
it's impossible to roll over a citroen 2cv and derivative by driving too fast, they even tried on top gear and failed :)
@@lordofkiwi5144 Driveing Backwards it's possible.
Think about this, if you"d try to do this in a mordern high end SUV, you might crash yourself before making through first corner X)
Not necessarily. I've done this kind of stuff in a 2004 Lexus RX 330. It didn't like it, but it didn't try to roll over. The reason why these Citroens roll so much is because they have HUGE amounts of suspension travel and no anti-roll.
Cómo lo zabe mpare
Volvo xc90 has crappy suspension,my humble Focus handles potholes much better.I suppose the Dyane would ride like a dream over crappy tarmac.
no matter who you are and who do you root for, you see that in any rally and its bound to make you smile and laugh
I went back and watched the jump at 1:46 with a big smile.
Citroen T.P.V. (Toute Petite Voiture) 19356 engineering design brief, resulting in the 2CV (and derivatives like the Dyane) have unique engineered chassis & suspension.
In some properties better than an other cars. (including modern designs), still going strong & nothing else to compare.

The Renault 4 was also a super little car.
I still feel ashamed my father leave one rotten in a side the house for years ...
Manual 3 gears and reverse, original "amber looking" plastics driving wheels and button the gear shifter ...
My nephews break the glasses once I ask "my family" to stock it on a dry place ...

@@haroldpearson6025 And way more powerfull
A two car race and everyone loved it. It’s the simple things that make us humans happy.
It doesn't corner, it sort of just dribbles around.
Had a lady friend in Germany whilst serving there and she had a Citroën 2CV. Glad to see the suspension's still just as much fun.
Those Dyane are like their big sister, the 2CV... impossible to flip ! Plus... these cars are great on (reasonable amount of) snow !
sorry to disappoint you but they have the same problem of the original... just reverse and try to sharp turn... your life will be in your hands..
What's most fun is that you know there driveing as fast as they can, you can hear that little engine scream at its thrown at the corners.

Now that was entertaining! Massive respect! Who needs horsepower?
Unreal traction, wow!
0:56 the unreal...
Worked on a friend's 2CV about 40 years ago. Most of the bolts were left-hand thread. The entire bodywork could be removed with about 20 bolts. And yes, that thing cornered like a fox with its butt on fire. Suspension felt like rubber bands, but the wheels stuck to the track better than most more-powerful cars.
Good drivers ... very hard to get the back out of track.
Brilliant design comes in many forms. For its day it was a real revolution that even Napoleon would have been proud of
Great video! Hahahaha: ) I love the Dyane 6.
Easily the best World Rally vid ever made.
This car gives me anxiety everytime it takes a corner xD
Watching this with nostalgia...how I miss my 2CV and Dyane
COOL the croud is happy for every proper driven corner and sad when it crashes, pretty much the opposite of some other rally videos....
i love it! this is the way it should be
TRANSLATION: Every time I go through the corner, I hear laughter.
looks fun!
solo hay una sola forma de volcar con un Citroen my muy pocos lo saben.................................
not the prettiest, not the fastest, but I want one.
