"These trucks are taking food to Hamas, Hamas are murderers, rapists, terrible, terrible people. We think that our government has been forced by the Americans to give them this food. The government doesn't like it, we don't like it, we're doing our best to stop them. And even if we just hold them up for a few hours, that's a few hours that Hamas won't have the food and we are happy about that, we're doing the best we can."

STORYLINE:
A group of protesters, some carrying Israeli flags, gathered near the Kerem Shalom crossing and attempted to block the entrance of humanitarian aid into Gaza on Thursday.
Kerem Shalom is the main goods crossing between Israel and Gaza.
It was closed over the weekend after a Hamas rocket attack killed four Israeli soldiers nearby.
On Tuesday, an Israeli tank brigade seized the nearby Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, forcing its closure.
The Israeli military said Wednesday that it has reopened its Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza after days of closure, but the U.N. said no humanitarian aid has yet entered and there is no one to receive it on the Palestinian side after workers fled during Israel’s military incursion in the area.
The protest at the Kerem Shalom crossing was organized by the “Tzav 9” movement, who over the last few months organized protests at different crossings with the Gaza Strip, hoping to block aid into the besieged enclave.
They say blocking the aid could force Hamas to release the over 100 hostages held by the militant group since their Oct. 7 shock attack on Israel.
The two facilities are the main terminals for entry of food, medicine and other supplies essential for the survival of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million Palestinians.
