    Euge thank you for another excellent video. Enjoyed your description as well as your playing. Great of you to take the time to do these demo's.

    Solid as always! Opening arpegiated riff kicks ass.

    Yeah that sounds pretty incredible. Dr. Z is a brand I’ve never really gotten a chance to get into and I feel like I’m missing out.

    Hi Euge
    In addition to Marshall, are the amps from Dr. Z my favorites. I like their warm and powerful sound. A brand that deserves a lot more attention. thanks for that 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Dr Z amps are made right here in Cleveland!! Great demo as always.

    Your tone sounds expensive especially the intro’s solo one 😍, also i’ve liked the plexi’s sound so much 🙏.

    That amp sounds killer! Granted, you are skilled as a guitarist, so that doesn't hurt any. Thanks for the demo!

    That amp has just the right amount of dirt to sound great with the song you played. You're really getting some good gear to try out from Musix. Great content Euge. Have a great weekend 🤘 🤘

    The Z has got a thickness to it that I like over both the Plexi & Boogie, although both of them sounded kickass as well!!-

    Dan Patlansky uses Dr Z Amps too... and he has to my ears (at least on of) the best Strat-Blues Sounds there is in these times

    You can really hear the hair in this amp compared to the more aggressive stuff you've demo'd lately. For sure not high gain metal but for pure rock, hard rock, doom music, and could also be great for cutting solos in the studio - the sag in that rectifier could be cool. Overall a real unique amp. As soon as I heard the opening I thought, wow, this is different. Oh and loved the almost "Montrose" like song you came up with for this!

    Dr. Z are great amps and they have a good variety of models for different styles. Yeah, this one does have a cool sound! You can tell right away that it has a tube rectifier. It sort of reminds of a Joe Perry-type tone and I think he uses a wall of amps to get his tone. Killer playing as always...Cheers!

    When you hit the SD, the lead tones were so damn creamy and perfect.

    Euge fantastic demo! Thanks for showing this vs the plexi. I have a Marshall Vintage modern and was wondering how the z nova compares and if I should sell the Marshall and get the z combo. Thanks man!

    Every Dr Z amp that you’ve reviewed sounds killer. Jetta rules them all for tone though I think. 👍

    Hey Euge, have you ever played anything from Bogner? From your experience is the
    sound of the EVH EL34 the similar or close to something like a Bogner
    Ecstasy or Uberschall? Bogners are pricey and I was wondering if the EVH
    34 is more of an affordable direction to that sound. Thanks

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I used to own a Fish preamp and on Godsplague’s ’Revival’ album I used that into VHT power amp along with Ecstacy head. I’ve also used Überschall a few times but I always sound like myself no matter the amp ’cos they just amplify my sound / playing 😎.
      I can’t remember the differences any more but I always encourage people to try everything themselves ’cos we’re all different and amps amplify our sound / playing differently.

      For what it’s worth, Euge did a killer demo of a Helios, which IMO is Bogner’s best amp, by FAR. It’s the only amp I like as much as my SLO (but very different sounding).

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Phil! Yeah it’s probably my favourite of Bogner’s since it’s pretty much like a hot rodded JCM800 😎💪.

      @@EugeValovirta230V Amen to that! The Bogner Helios and the SLO 100 are the best amps on the market IMO. Wish I could afford one of them! :😁

      There’s many great amps out there but always when I plug into a JCM800 2203 boosted with a BOSS SD-1 it’s always like coming home 🙏💪😎.

      Always. But I use it pretty much only with cleans. But on albums / recordings I add a bit of chorus / pitch shifting to guitars & bass (when mixing) quite often to spread the sound a bit. Old trick but works like a charm 😎.

  • @AdamGotheridge
