So yeah. China blew it. We're out of the U20 Women's Asian Cup.
Despite all my pain and misery at disappointing in yet another tournament, this time there were more positives to take away. So what happened?

You know, ~25 years ago, China's women's national team was an international powerhouse. They played the USA in the gold medal match in the first Olympic women's soccer tournament in 1996.
We're still decent, the women's team has just been on a decline lately. Lets not forget our only win in the 2023 World Cup was by a penalty against Haiti 😂😂
Still better than the men's team though
No matter the sport, it takes time to build a winning team. Importing a couple of coaches won't do much for you. You not only have to work with the players you currently have but the players you will have in the future. You first have to build the system and the culture and finally the winning tradition.
Definitely, I'm still happy that we won against Vietnam on the last day and if I can say anything positive, at least we were the only team that didn't lose to the eventual champions.
Just that the overall result was a bit disappointing
