I would love to homeschool my little girl! Love the information and ways I can help her have a better school year. She has ADD and a lot of the teachers just don’t have the patience with her that she needs or the time really for one on one like she needs.
Just a heads up on “The Hobbit”. I set out to read this aloud to my 10-yr-old at the end of the school year last year. It took F-O-R-E-V-E-R! It seems that the type-face in our copy was incredibly dense and the prose is rather dense as well! We just finished it last week. I feel some empathy for dear old Bilbo Baggins as his adventure took over a year and it felt like reading the book took the same! 😅
Hey Bekah! I have 4 children that I homeschool (we have homeschooled from the beginning). My daughter will be pre-k, my twin boys will be 4th grade, and my oldest boy will be 7th grade this year. Thanks for sharing all these great resources! I haven’t looked on DK’s site in a long time, but wow, they do have some cool new things! We have been using the Writing with Ease curriculum for quite a while, and it’s great. I did find that the dictations get quite challenging toward the end of year 3. We also have the Melissa and Doug mats. The little crayons wear out fast. We have been using bathtub crayons as a replacement. Please let me know if you know of another type of crayon that works on them :). Hope you have a great year and thanks so much for the great video! 🥰

I was thinking it was Dry erase, but your'e right, it says not to use dry erase....I'll see what I can find....I hope you all are doing well!🍁📚☕️

I haven’t been able to comment lately like I usually do because we moved from AriZona to Texas this last month and it’s been a busy. But as always I so love and enjoy your videos. It’s always like having a friend to clean or decorate with. I’ve mentioned a few times before but we also homeschool and my four children are very close in age to yours. We would love to pen pal if you are interested with your kiddos. We also signed up for character first this week and per Montessori are going to do attentiveness, obedience, and honesty first. You had mentioned using it in one of your videos and also a character tree you use. I would so Love details about this and how you use it in your home. It is a danish dough hook and even though I don’t make bread as often as I would like I use it a lot of my baking as well and it works so nicely. The little red hen book is so fun and our kind of books too! They have more in the series we want to collect as well but I love so much that at the end of them they share recipes from the old days and little excerpt of sewing patterns, songs or poems, etc from sweet days gone by. Little historical tid bits that get my kids interested and involved. I love all the recipes you share on your channel and sharing some of mine with you just seemed the right way to share gratitude. I hope you have the most wonderful day and you feel my friendship and love from over here in Texas. Bless you and your family this sabbath day and I hope it can be a day of peace and preparation for the new week ahead for you. I so look forward to a homeschool video when you have the time, I so understand your mama plate is full ❤️ I would love a future video of how you do your character study and character tree. Hi Kimberley! I just try and stay organized with their work as much as I can and keep each year's work in a large bin with each of their workbooks, papers, artwork, journals, etc.🌺😘
