Even as a celtic fan, i was so chuffed. Partly coz it was against Rangers, but also my dad is a hibee, i screamed the house down seeing that header go in. I hope hibs win it again someday
Being a Rangers supporter from Leith 😬 I was an honorary Hibee for the day I used to go to loads of Hibs games wi ma pals when we were at school sneaking in to the old terracing during the 80’s all my pals minus 1or 2 & were Hibs fans so I do have a special wee place in my heart for Hibs i had been spoiled with trophies from Rangers for years so on this day I really wanted Hibs to win they had waited for over a 100 years so I wanted them to finally get their hands on that trophy 🏆 I had been to the final of the league cup just before this when Hibs were beaten by Ross County 2-1 so when my wee Brother got offered tickets for this final he knocked them back 🤦🏼♂️ he grew up a Rangers supporter I used to take him to Ibrox quite a lot but when he got to high school he changed teams & became a Hibee as all his pals were too 🤷🏼♂️ well he’d been to all the recent semis & finals Hibs had been in before this & they lost all the time so he just thought it was going to be another Hibs cup final loss so he let the tickets go to someone else I had no one else to go with without him so I missed out & im gutted it was an amazing day for Hibs beautiful weather as well & the scenes at the end & that rendition of Sunshine on Leith was spine tingling Darren McGregor was one of my wee Brothers best pals from school & to this day so it was great to see the team come down Leith Walk the day after was a great sight I stayed there anyway so it was just a walk to the end of the street a great time for Hibs 😉😁👍🏼
