The 30th anniversary of the Peugeot 405 Sochaux

Launched in June 1987 and voted Car of the Year 1988, the Peugeot 405 marked his era. In 2017, it's already celebrating his 30th anniversary. Based on an extended 205 platform, the 405 was intended to take over the 505. The elegance of his design, designed by Italian stylist Pininfarina, is no longer to be rented. Ari Vatanen's victories at the wheel of the 405 T16 on Paris-Dakar in 1989 and 1990 and at Pikes Peak in 1988 will ensure his sporting glory.

I have a D70 Mi16 in Australia. It would be nice to make it over to Sochaux for the 40 birthday. ( I used to work at the Peugeot factory in Ryton, UK, making them.).

T hose sure are nice peugeots I've never seen one or ridden in one of those none ever made it to America
unfortunately here in USA the peugeot imports ended with the early 505 cars. In 1985
I've got only 1 peugeot a 1974 504 estate and lucky to have it a diesel and here in USA they have very sketchy gasoline now loaded with ethanol that ruins vintage cars.i think it's intentional to make new cars replace old cars.the only way to have a daily driver with affordable fuel is to drive old diesels...
