It's Lexicon no. 1 which is a very high end font. Go google what the retail price is. And that's the benefit of a high quality font: 'something for nothing'.
Hey Matt, thanks for the review. It appears on camera that the kjv print is slightly darker than your esv calfskin version. Is that your observation as well or just the camera? I read a review on another clarion on biblebuyingguide and it appeared from his pictures that the review copy is darker than my current nkjv clarion. Just curious if the newer printed clarions have a little more/darker ink. Thanks again!
Should anyone see this in 2023, the "Goatskin" feels more like cowhide these days, or at least the one I received. I also have a goatskin NASB from about 7 years ago that feels much different/better. It's softer, thicker, more spongy, more satisfying and unique. I would advise just going with one of the more affordable leathers until you hear otherwise. Besides that, I have nothing but good things to say about the Clarion format.
I was thinking you would check the minutiae for strange abberations and popular typos. I left the NIV when they scuttled the 1984 version, and that rabbit trail led all the way to Constantin Tischendorf promoting the forgery that is Sinaiticus. David Daniels did an amazing series of videos on it (much as Chick's "repent of your sins" tract boilerplate is false.)
The Clarion Reader's Companion does not have meanings for words like abhor so it does not seem to have a glossary like the Cambridge Concord. To understand the language, KJV NKJV parallel bible and KJV MEV parallel bible are probably more useful.
That's an awesome huge hunk of leather there. Too bad it isn't the double column layout. I'm not crazy about the book novel look of modern KJVs, plus it must be red letter also. The KJV is the word of God. AMEN HALLELUJAH GLORY TO GOD SELAH
I can't stand my I can't stand the new international version let me slip away for two years the Be ungodly I went back to the Baptist Church and picked up the King James and all right after that I don't know anything about call of Protestant Church
I obtained 2 of these for my wife and I last year and it is our daily reader this year. It's just right.
One of my favorite Bibles I love the paragraph form he is definitely my favorite Cambridge I'll say that.
KJV ! Getting some sense, God's got you in the RIGHT direction NOW.

I would like to get one but I don't have the funds right now
Which is better the clarion or the schyler?
Very tempting, but a 9 pt. font is way too small for me...

That would be wonderful to have in an edition with the A.V. Apocrypha included!

Pastor Matt, did you wind up changing the ribbons out?
